Calista couldn't help the small smile that came to her face as she felt Hawkin’s excitement. In an odd way it helped calm her from the anxiety she felt about Jado. Was he still unconscious? She couldn't tell… His armor had enough beskar to block her from sensing him. Was he back to normal? She didn't hear any weapons fire and she hadn't felt any more death through the Force. Which also helped calm her a little but she still walked a little faster to get back. She had a lot of questions.
Hawkin was oblivious. He was enthralled with the droid, and matched Calista's pace really without thinking. He kept his head down, and asked Calista a question.
"Hey, do you think this droid has a name? Or even a serial code? It's high republic make, but I don't know if it was mass produced, or someone's passion project. I mean I guess I can ask the droid when I fix it and power it back up, but what do you suspect?"
Calista blinked as the question brought her out of her circling thoughts and glanced back at Hawkin. “I believe it's likely that the droid has a number, at the very least, regardless of if it was produced or one of a kind.” she nodded. “A name… assuming you mean one like yours or mine isn't unheard of but would be interesting. I think I only know of one, which was a special case anyway and I don't believe I met him.” she admitted with a slight shrug.
Hawkin didn't look up from the droid.
"It would be interesting to run its serial number, if it has one. There probably won't be much, if anything about the droid though. That's what it would have to tell me. As for names? Maybe the droid already has one. Besides a production code name."
They kept walking on, and were getting closer to the lobby. Hawkin could now smell the remnants of blaster fire smoke in the air.
"I agree." Calista nodded, sharing in Hawkin's interest in the droid's past and what information it could hold. As they got closer to the lobby, she picked up her pace again, hoping that everything was still alright. But she raised a brow at how Jado and the guard were sitting there. "I… Well, this is not what I expected." she smirked slightly.
"Knight Veran!" the guard jumped in surprise and quickly stood at attention.
"At ease." she sighed, holding back her annoyance at the guard's reaction. "And I've asked that you not call me that."
Hawkin looked sideways at Calista.
"Oooo Knight Veran. What a fancy title. How would you feel if I only referred to you as Knight Veran from now on? I'm going to call you that. Or, what if I make up a whole new fancy title? Like, Lady Jedi Knight Veran or Like The Great Lady Jedi Knight Veran of the Jedi Order?"
He smirked.
he looked over at calista "hello i am pleased I did not accidently hurt you…and sir un armored their was not the best…friend…" he made a bitter face under his helmet as if it was discussing to say that "but other than that nothing happened what were you expecting me with his blaster and his scorched body I'm not a monster but please explain to him that I'm a actual clone he doesn't understand that I am says I'm lying…" his tone was calm as he put the holo away stopping the game of holo chess (or what ever the game is that they play in starwars…) fixing his armor up again
Calista looked over her shoulder at Hawkin and gave him a flat unamused look at the teasing. "I am glad you're not hurt either, Jado." she nodded. "And that you are back to yourself. I know you're not a monster but I had to take precautions for others' peace of mind." she explained, walking over to him. "Guard, you may go. Everything is fine now."
"But…K-" he started, clearly still not trusting the armored bounty hunter, before Calista nearly glared at him. "Uhh… Y-yes, ma'am." he nodded before leaving the room, his reluctance still palatable.
(They have holo chess and Dejarik that have been played on screen! As well as various card and gambling games)
Hawkin smiled and gently laid the droid on the table while Calista talked to Jado. He looked at the tools he had brough with him and had set in the floor before the whole ordeal with Jado had occurred. None of the tools in the bag were delicate enough for him. He sighed and grabbed his bo rifle and opened the compartment he made in the bottom of it, and pulled out some finer tools make for more delicate work. He began tinkering on the droid, fixing the power pack and some of the wires that had been fried when it had been shot. He looked at the damage and laughed at it. It wasn't bad. It only took a few minutes for the droid to be on the road to repair.
Calista sighed as the three of them were finally alone, taking in the brief peace before sitting beside Jado. “Are you alright? I mean I didn't hurt you too much when I threw you, right?”
Hawkin looked up from the droid, and wiped his face, leaving a grease streak across his cheek.
"It did look like you hit the wall pretty hard. I was however tempted to finish knocking you out with the end of the bo rifle if you weren't knocked out from the throw. Anyway, you shot my droid, but don't worry, I'm going to fix it up as good as new."
"im fine…my armor took most of the shock as you threw me against a wall?!?!" he looked at her surprised "and whose he…" he pointed at hawking "can we finish what we came here to do and wheres my blaster?…"
(sorry was at lunch just came back)
(It's fine. Was just checking on you.)
"You did tell me to knock you out. It was the only thing I could think of." Calista pointed out, rolling her eyes with a playful smile. "That young man is Hawkin. Apparently, he wanted to talk to me about if that droid had any Jedi knowledge since he said it's a High Republic droid." she explained as an introduction. But she sighed at the questions. "I have your blaster and as much as I would like to finish what we were doing… I have to ask if you know what caused you to… react like that?" she asked gently.
Hawkin smudged the grease on his face more.
"You can call me Hawk, Flyboy, Or just a sharp whistle and a come here boy will do. I was here to get a droid looked at and possibly sell it to the New Republic, but…"
He trailed off and looked at Calista and tried to suppress a laugh.
"The Great Lady Jedi Knight Calista Veran of the Jedi Order has taken an interest in me or the droid, haven't decided yet, but I guess I'm here now."
(Fanficcccc you're just a tad faster than I was 😂)
(It's fine. Was just checking on you.)

"i don't know…i think it was just when we got closer to the chancelors old office it just happened and I don't remember anything that just happened before waking with a guard watching my every move…." he looked in her eyes the best he could "I promise you that…"
(mock star testings a bitch)
(Good luck!)
Calista sighed at Hawkin’s use of his made-up title for her and shook her head. “Don't call me that again.” she asked, venting her annoyance into the Force before looking back at Jado. “I believe you.” she assured with a nod of understanding as, even through his armor, she could feel the sincerity of his words. “But I don't think it would be a good idea for you to go back towards his office again. Just in case your… reaction was triggered by either proximity or how strong his presence tainted that area with the Dark Side.” she explained.
Hawkin jerked his head up from working on the power bank on the droid.
"The Dark side? Is that really real?"
“It is.” she confirmed, looking over at the potentially Force-sensitive young man. “Very real and very dangerous. I’m sure by now it's common knowledge that the Emperor was a Sith which means he was very strong in the Dark Side of the Force.” Calista pointed out. “Even just the hallway to his private office in this building is still affected by it.”
he looked at hawkin "sure ill call you that last one" when he got a look from calista "I'm kidding I'm kidding.. hawk is fine with me…" he looked at her "so..how are we going to finish what we came here to start?…" he then looked at hawkin and whispered "and can he be trusted?…"
(umm… I don't remember Calista saying that…)
