Urban Elements Universe
Everything is made of four basic elements: Paper, Smoke, Metal, and Cement.
Loose Cyberpunk, Urban Fantasy, Sci-Fi
Within the world of Venture, there are four elements that in one way or another encapsulate everything:
Paper, the essence of life, versatility, and order. With Paper, wounds can be mended, but to think of Paper as nothing more than healing would be a possibly fatal mistake. Paper is also one of the most dangerous elements of all, as when folded and packed together, it becomes strong enough to stop bullets, when sharpened, cut, or slashed, it can create more painful wounds than anything else, and when folded can become incredibly easy to conceal.
Smoke, the essence of death, stealth, and chaos. Smoke chokes out all life it comes across, leaving poisoning and destruction in its wake. Able to reflect and redirect light, it can be used to create an illusion of whatever you'd like, whether you're concealing something or displaying something anew. Aside from more devious uses such as those, Smoke can control heat, can be used to propel towards or away, creating vacuums, and even to breathe underwater.
Metal, the essence of fortitude and speed. Metal has been one of the world's most used materials and remains that way even today. Its strength and ability to be molded into whatever is necessary has proven most useful to humanity. Metal is used everywhere in modern society, from technology to buildings to tools.
Cement, the essence of honor and strength. Cement is the base of Venture, as nearly all buildings and environments are now built and covered in cement. It's very versatile as a substance, but nearly impossible to control accurately. It has two forms, liquid and solid, each with its own uses. Solid is incredibly strong and massive, allowing it to really pack a punch, and liquid is incredibly thick and easy to control, making it good for trapping and suffocating enemies.
Similar to Earth physics, except gravity is a little lighter.
They have futuristic technology, utilizing fusion to create nearly endless clean energy. Because of this, hover vehicles are pretty commonplace, though lots of people prefer more traditional vehicles with wheels.
Only focusing on one planet, named Venture.
RWBY, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Monty Oum's works, and many more that I can't think of off the top of my head.
