The NEOWar, named after the fact that it was the first war to have nuclear fusion technology to fuel the gears of war. After easy fusion was achieved using lunar mining for tritium, the most abundant fusion fuel in the universe, energy became so cheap that creating powerful weapons, vehicles, and computers, was incredibly easy.

The then multi-industry mega-corporation Havenities had begun to acquire massive amounts of land, buying up everything they could on every continent, in every country. Finally, after buying what they could, they began hiring a "task force" of sorts to take land by force, creating a sort of mafia underbelly of Havenities that was referred to as The Hosts, as they were thought of as unofficial "landlords" that could come and kick you out of your home or business at any time.

After 4 years of dealing with the Hosts, the public began to fight back, and Havenities began to call the people fighting the Hosts "Menaces." Those who were fighting back adopted that name as they began to organize and plot against Havenities. Eventually, governments began backing up and funding the Menace, as they began to become worried about how much power Havenities was gaining that they would try to overthrown governments.

After the assassination of three of the board members of Havenities, they formally declared, "A state of all-out war against the Menace and the governments behind them," which at that point was most world governments, as the rest either were too scared to fight back or were already under Havenities's control. This was the official beginning of the NEOWar.

Eventually, Havenities took control of the world's major superpower and the country that was supplying the Menace with their weaponry and manpower, effectively crippling the Menace to a point where the rest of the war was pretty much a formality. Havenities ended up coming into control of all of the countries that had backed the Menace, and eventually took every other country, uniting the entire world under one corporatocracy. At first, before all governments were assimilated, the mega country was known as The United Territories of Haventies Control, or the UTHC, but once all countries were assimilated there was no need to continue the use of that name because from now on all politics and business endeavors were under one central government, Havenities.

The Menace is rumored to still exist, fighting to overthrow Havenities, but Havenities stays firm on the claim the Menace is no longer.
