Metal has been one of the world's most used materials and remains that way even today. Its strength and ability to be molded into whatever is necessary has proven most useful to humanity. Metal is used everywhere in modern society, from technology to buildings to tools. Metal bending allows near-total control over metals and metalloids, with the only real limitation the effort the Metal bender is willing to put in. When bending metal, if you try to move it too quickly or change its form too fast, you risk accidentally heating it to burning temperatures and possibly even melting it from the extreme friction. Very talented Metal benders may be able to control the state of the metal manually, though it takes lots of practice.
