C) Tempest
Eldest of the The Lost Sisters with good tactical sense. She has no idea one of her sisters is still alive.
"All this power wasted on parties when there are far greater uses."
"I lost what I defined myself to be... Then I lost those who stood by me... And now, I'm simply... lost. I feel as though there is almost nothing left of me. Out here, I'll either lose myself completely... or find something new to be."
"I think "bad luck" is superstition. I don't blame curses. Everything bad that's happened to me... has been someone's fault. Sometimes mine."
"Listen, take it from somebody who used to be a villain, monologuing just wastes everyone's time."

Tempest was born in Brywood
along with her sisters, C) Dahliah and C) Nebula. At the start of the Dragon War, Blackthorn fled the battlefield with his foals and followed a group of Crystal Ponies. He meant to return to Brywood, but the group was pursued by A) King Sombra. In the Frozen North, the dragon killed the group of Crystal Ponies, gravely injured Blackthorn, and separated Nebula from her family, before succumbing to his own injuries. Blackthorn stumbled into a yak community and subsequently died as well.
The yaks could not take care of ponies, much less ones so young, so they took Dahliah and Tempest to pony communities to be adopted. Unfortunately, the two sisters were separated.
Tempest's foster parents allowed her to run wild and do as she pleased. The young filly inherited her father's spirit and combat sense, and was a bit of a terror. When she and some of the local foals lost their ball in a cave, Tempest was the one who went in to retrieve it. However, the cave was home to an Ursa Minor, who did not take kindly to the intrusion. It attacked Tempest and broke her horn, but the young filly was able to escape with her life. She found her way back home and tried to play with the foals again. But her broken horn made her magic wild and unpredictable, scaring the foals and causing their parents to lash out at her. Hurt, the young filly fled the community and learned to fend for herself in the wild. She traveled far and wide searching for a way to restore her horn.
Years later she would encounter the Storm King, who promised to help her find a way to restore her horn in exchange for loyalty to him. She agreed, and became the general of his army.
