Kelkov Aerio
Co-Leader of the Soul Guardian Council
K (nickname used by Emelia Reragon)
Kel (nickname used by Flare Modus and Addlor)

Male
He/him
6'1"
203 lbs.
Formal, dark colors, the color green
Kelkov goes out of his way to make himself look immaculately clean at all times. All the suits he wears are tailored perfectly to his tall, slim figure. His dark brown hair is always neatly side-parted and combed, and he even whitens his teeth, plucks his eyebrows, and wears slight makeup to hide any blemishes. He has narrow eyes, high cheekbones, and a slender jawline. He is farsighted, but he hates people knowing it, so he usually wears contacts and leaves his reading glasses at home.
Kelkov's Release Form is a huge dark Dragon, muscular in the chest and forelegs with proportionally short hind legs. He has solid black scales with a gray underbelly, but his golden eyes glow with excess energy. His thick-boned wings aren't much good for flight, but he often uses them as a shield. He has many horns jutting from his skull and spine, however, all jagged and sharp. The three spines at the end also make his whip-like tail a useful weapon.

Bisexual
Kelkov enjoys being in control. Smooth, suave, and imposing are all words he'd use to describe himself. He keeps his friends close and his enemies closer, and is great at reading people's emotions and reactions. First impressions are everything to him: if people find him creepy, he's good at dialing it back to a more natural, friendly tone. When he's being genuine, though, he's surprisingly social and is always keeping up with his friends and family through phone calls and letters.
Kelkov prefers not to fight, instead manipulating his way out of sticky situations, but if need be, he is an accomplished dark mage and knows how to throw a punch without injuring himself.
He doesn't know about his status as a Chosen One and hasn't had his Release Form triggered yet, nor does he have any awareness of it.
Professional gambler
Kelkov was mentored by Silex Amoro, picking up advanced Dark Magic techniques and some basic Soul Control (though he isn't very good at it). He considers Silex a role model, adapting his sense of style and some of his mannerisms.
When Silex was contacted by the Creator and began the Founding of the Soul Guardians, Kelkov was the first person to be brought into the Council. At first, his concern for Silex's health outweighed any desire to be in some holy police force, but his friend Emelia Reragon convinced him to go along with it for the sake of enabling her grand plans.
When Emelia took over the Soul Guardians, Kelkov cut off his apprenticeship with Silex, and the fallout was immense. He feels guilty about betraying his old mentor, but sees Emelia's end goals as worth the pain. It helps that he greatly enjoys his SG work; he meets people from all walks of life and can crank his charisma to eleven. His strategy is to lure in people curious about the group and run what are basically impromptu therapy sessions, teasing out their insecurities, needs, and wants, and assuring them that the Soul Guardians are the only ones who can help them.
Kelkov occasionally writes to his parents and has introduced them to his friends-turned-Council members, but keeps the nature of his work a secret and tries to keep SG activity far, far away from his hometown of Tarrin to protect them.

"I used to have this little stage magic kit you could pull off those fake sort of illusions with. That stuff didn't stick as a hobby, but I think I got into gambling games from messing around with the deck of cards, so that's cool."
"I try to make the person think they're getting through to me, and then I usually forget about it after I walk away."
"Knowing as much as possible about the person I'm talking to or the situation I'm in."
"I told a girl she'd be better off dead once. Cue looks of shock and horror from everyone within earshot."
"Yeah, someday. I've gotta find the right partner first, but I can see myself settling down one of these days, having a little tyke or two to teach."
"I don't use my bedroom a whole lot, it's mostly storage. I just sleep on the couch. Too much of my money goes to recharging my phone and all my other crystals, so I haven't gotten a proper bed. It's fine, though, I don't mind that much."
"Cold, I hate getting sweaty."
