Jair cocked an eyebrow. "Your stomach disagrees, your majesty."
Aydan tipped his head. "Wait, what's happening?" He asked, looking between Jair and Kana. "Have I missed something?"

Kana inhaled sharply and looked up at Aydan with frantic, disheveled eyes. "Nothing! Nothing at all!" She laughed nervously and tried to discretely pushed her plate forward once again. "You've missed absolutely nothing." She lied through her teeth, internally cursing her stomach. Way to grumble at the right time, dummy.

Jair rolled his eyes. "Yes, Aydan. While you've had your name stuck in a book, your fiance and queen has been starving herself." He pushed Kana's plate back at her. "Eat it." He commanded her.
Aydan frowned. "Oh… Kana, you really do need to eat." He looked at Jair. "And there's no need to use that tone on me."
Jair snorted, looking at Aydan. "Really? Because I've only been back a few hours, and I noticed, yet you, apparently, haven't noticed anything in literal months." He replied, tone cold and angry. "Is the future king so blind?"
Aydan frowned, crossing his arms. "Regardless, there is no need for you to use that tone. Because I am, as you put it, the future king."

(and i oop-)

Kana sighed loudly and pushed her plate back, making it clatter. "Stop fighting. Please." I knew something was going to happen. I could feel it. "This is my fault. I'm sorry." She looked at her hands again, slightly ashamed with herself. You could've prevented this. You could've just stayed in bed.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(lol)

Jair pushed the plate back at her. "Eat." He said again. "And you have nothing to apologize for."
Aydan pressed his lips into a thin line. "Please eat, Kana. And it isn't your fault that soldier boy can't control his temper." He didn't look at Jair.
Jair clenched his fists, knuckles turning pale. He remained silent. We'll see if he's still taunting after I punch his teeth in-! He took a breath. No, calm down. Calm down.

"I already ate earlier. And I ate a little too much." She glanced at Jair. That wouldn't have been a problem if you didn't make me.
"There's no need for condescending name calling, either," she grimaced at Aydan, slightly disappointed in him.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Well, excuse me for being worried about you." Jair replied, standing. "Should I let you starve to death instead? Will that make you happy?"
Aydan sighed. "My apologies, Kana."

Deleted user

"It's fine, Aydan." She quickly turned her head to look at Jair.
"Jair, please. Not now." Kana pleaded, looking at him with desperate eyes. "There are better places and times to talk about these kind of things." She sighed softly, shaking her head.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Yeah? And when would that be? Because every time i bring it up, you change the subject or tell me it isnt the right time." Jair challenged, not sitting down again.
Aydan raised an eyebrow, but said nothing.

"I don't know!" She blurted, her voice was almost loud enough to be a scream. "Ok? I don't know, and it's hard to talk about. And now you've brought it up in front of-" She groaned and put her head in her hands. This is not what I wanted. Is it so hard to wish for a peaceful night?

@ElderGod-Icefire

"What, in front of Aydan? Well I'm sorry that your fiance didn't know that you are starving yourself!" Jair replied, shaking his head with a sigh.
Aydan remained quiet, not sure if he should even say anything.

Kana quickly shot up from her seat. "It's not like it was your business to tell him anyway!" She retorted, getting slightly annoyed with Jair. Kana looked down and used her hands and lean against the table, as getting up too quickly made her lightheaded. Don't fall, don't fall, don't fall, She chanted in her mind as she slightly swayed from the dizziness.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jair shook his head. "You're right. It isn't my business. I shouldn't have come back. Obviously it's just causing more harm than good." He stalked to the door. "I'll be packing up again, should there be anything else you want to say to me." He left. Calm down calm down calm down just stop it, Jair. Stop it. Stop it.
Aydan's eyes flickered, and he looked down at the table, unsure of what to say.

"Jair, please. Calm down." She quickly made her way to the door, trying to block it from him. "I'm sorry. I should-" should just throw myself off the top of the castle. "I'm sorry. Please." She grabbed his arm, hoping that would somehow help. "Stay."

@ElderGod-Icefire

He stopped, looking at her. "I'm sorry." He said. "I…" I don't belong here anymore. I'm a mixed race commoner that has no business pretending he has some claim to your heart. Kana I… He shook his head slightly. Just shut up. You're getting yourself in more trouble.

Deleted user

"You can go… But please. Don't leave the castle." She begged him. I can't lose you. I can't. Not again.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jair hesitated, then nodded. "Fine." He said softly. He closed his eyes for a moment. Trapped in four walls and a roof not allowed to leave I can't leave I can't leave no control no choice no no no no no- he took a deep breath, cutting off his thoughts.

"Thank you," Kana sighed with relief and let go of his arm. "Really. Thank you." She smiled weakly. Thank goodness. I wouldn't be able to bear it if he left. Again.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He forced a nod, trying to act normal. Stop panicking you aren't trapped. You're fine you're fine you're fine just calm down and everything will be okay. "You're welcome."

Kana smiled and stepped out of his way, allowing him to leave the room if he wanted to.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He left the room. Calm down calm down calm down everything is fine, you're okay, its fine, you're fine. He told himself, over and over and over.

Deleted user

I hope he'll be okay…. Kana looked over at Aydan and chuckled nervously. "What a night, huh?"

Deleted user

Ah, damn. She looked up at the ceiling. "Well, I didn't want to place any burdens on you." Kana laughed to herself. "Besides, it's nothing too serious." Lying again. To your own fiance, too. How pathetic.
