"Yes?" Jair called. He was sitting on the bed reading, though he was having a hard time focusing on the actual story.
"Yes?" Jair called. He was sitting on the bed reading, though he was having a hard time focusing on the actual story.
Kana poked her head in. "Hey," she smiled softly at him. "I just wanted to know if you were feeling okay…"
He shrugged slightly. "I'm fine…" In pain, but then again, I'm always in pain now. He thought, looking over at her.
She raised her eyebrows slightly and bit her lip. "…Are you sure?"
He nodded. "Yeah…are you okay?" He asked, looking at her with a raised eyebrow.
You're lying to me, aren't you? Kana shrugged. "Yeah, I'm ok." She paused momentarily while looking down at the ground. "Did you want to meet that governor tomorrow? She's really nice…."
Jair sighed softly. "I'll come along if you want me to." He replied.
Kana smiled, letting out a soft giggle. "Yes, please." It'd be like old times… Of course I want that.
He nodded. "Then of course I will."
"Thank you…" Kana closed Jair's door and left for her room. (im assuming we just wanna time skip to that moment, right?)
He smiled slightly. You're welcome… (Sure)
Time skip
Kana knocked on Jair's door, trying to seem bubbly and happy by knocking to a little tune. This is actually exciting
(Also, does Jair have like,,,,,, a type or smtn? idk-)
Jair opened the door. He had showered, and his dark hair was brushed and back in a small ponytail, and he wore a clean shirt and pants. He had also shaved. "Hey."
(Uhm…nah not really XD)
Kana's eyes slightly widened. Certainly changed overnight, didn't you. She nodded slightly, "good morning. Should we get going?"
He smiled lightly. "Sure." He grabbed a bag, slinging it over his shoulder, careful not to tug on his wounds too much.
"Great," Kana started to walk out, expecting Jair to follow. "Did you sleep well?"
He followed her. "Yeah, I guess." No. I was up half the night afraid of the thoughts in my head, half convinced this is all a dream and I'll wake up back there again. "What about you?"
I had a nightmare about you dying in front of me, and I couldn't even do anything. She sighed, "Me too," Kana turned to look at him. "I see you got all dressed up." She teased, a slight smile on her face
He looked down at himself for a moment. "No, i just cleaned up from traveling. Beards are itchy, and those clothes were dirty. And my hair was super greasy."
"Ah, well…" She hesitated before smiling at him. "You look good."
He gave her a small smile back. "Thanks." He bit his lip. I want to kiss her. I really do. But… He sighed softly.
Kana walked outside and took a deep breath. I can't believe this is happening! We're finally back together… In a way.
(casually assumes that we want to do a timeskip)
Time skip
Kana and Jair had finally reached the village. She looked up at him, a huge grin plastered on her face. "I remember the last time we came here…" She trailed off, reminiscing
Jair smiled. "Yeah." He replied, looking over at her.
"And the city! It's wonderful." Maybe the governor should take my position as queen…
Kana knocked on the door, and the governor herself answered.
The lovely dark skinned woman did a little curtsy before Kana. "Welcome, Kana." Kana smiled and nodded in return. They seemed to get along well, especially if the woman was able to call her by her first name. She turned to Jair and asked, "And who might you be?"
Jair gave a small smile. "Jair Delos, ma'am." He replied, bowing slightly. "The queens former guard, newly returned from the civil war in Thaera."
