"Oh!" Her eyes landed on yet another book. "This one is good too!" She smiled and handed it to him.
"Oh!" Her eyes landed on yet another book. "This one is good too!" She smiled and handed it to him.
He took it with a smile. "Alright. Don't give me too many, I only have so much reading I can do before it makes me sleepy." He said teasingly.
(hey, not meaning to be rude or anything, but bump? If you want to stop RPing with me, that's fine, just please tell me so? Not trying to pester/bother you or anything I swear god why am I like this)
(No don't worry about it! I've just been getting behind on everything and I'm lowkey stressed (big shoutout to my job over here). And good loRD why would I want to stop rp'ing with you??? In all honesty, I think that you're one of the best. And also??? You're not bothering me??? Anyway. I'm so sorry by the way! I'm trying to get better about managing everything lol)
She giggled. "A shame. I would've handed off the entire library to you if you had let me continue!" She tore her eyes away from a different book that she was about to give him. Best not to overwhelm him.
(alright! I thought maybe you wanted to stop because of the vent thing but like maybe that's just me XD Aw thank you! It's totally fine, I understand, I myself am pretty busy with getting ready to move)
He chuckled softly. "I don't think the whole library can fit in my pocket, Kana." he told her with a small smile.
(Aw hey good luck with moving! That stuff can be really stressful)
"Get bigger pockets," she chuckled and sat down on an armchair. "I'll have the tailor stop by at around noon tomorrow."
(thank you! yes it is especially with my gramma around)
Jair shook his head, sitting down as well. "I don't think I could physically carry that much weight, either." he responded dryly.
Kana shrugged again. "Only one way to test that theory," she grinned at him and awkwardly looked around. You're not funny Kana. "Soo…" she let out a harsh, awkward laugh
Jair shrugged. "I'd rather not test it." He replied.
Kana smiled. "I know, silly." She grabbed a nearby book and flipped through it. Jesus, I've read almost all of these.
He gave her a small smile, watching her. At least she's mostly okay. At least…at least I'm the most broken of us.
I suppose it's easy to mindlessly read something if you don't even have the energy to get out of bed in the morning. She sighed and gently set down the book. "I'm sorry, I should've asked. Did you want to spend some time alone.. or?"
He shook his head. "No, it's fine. I… would rather not be alone with the thoughts in my head right now." He said softly.
"Ah.. That makes sense." She looked down at the ground, unsure of what to say. She had recently (as in, 5 minutes ago) developed a fear of saying the wrong things around him. But she didn't want to just stay silent. Oh great, I feel sick.
He shrugged. I'm so afraid of my own mind…of what I will think of when I'm alone…I hate it.
Kana awkwardly scratched the back of her head, still looking down at the ground. "So…. Can I ask you something?"
He looked at her. "Yeah." He said quietly, biting his lower lip slightly.
"Is there anything that…" she trailed off. How do I word this? "That would bother you if I brought it up?" She asked, unsure of her own words. "Does that even make sense," she chuckled, slightly disappointed with herself that she couldn't properly express what she was trying to say
"I…I don't know." Jair said softly, eyes flickering away from her. "I'm not sure."
"Right…" She looked back up at him. I'm sorry, Jair. I really want to help you, but I don't know how…
Kana's face suddenly lit up. There just has to be a book about something that Jair has gone through… She suddenly ran off to a certain place in the library, and the continued to zoom around the place until she had an tall stack of books in her arms. "Gods, this is heavy."
Jair raised an eyebrow. "Uhm…what is that?" He asked slowly. Why is she grabbing so many books? He wondered.
Kana set down the stack, sighing when she was relieved of the weight. Didn't realize I was so weak. She grinned at Jair. "That's a secret. For now, at least-" She focused her attention on the books, double checking them to make sure that she grabbed the right ones.
"Okay…" He trailed off, looking at one of the books she had handed him. I…don't know what to do. I'm just dead weight. I'm not her guard anymore, and I'm not anything important. I don't belong here.
She turned to him and smiled. "How many books can you carry at once?"
He shrugged. "Depends on how heavy they are." He replied.
