Farron nodded again, “We need to tell the elders first.”
Farron nodded again, “We need to tell the elders first.”
"That's what I was thinking," Aurelius sighed, "I'm sure they'll be glad to see my face again."
Farron half smiled, “Who cares, this is important.”
"Yeah, so they had better listen to what we have to say, and what our dragons have to say," he said grimly, "If they don't think it's a sign of a threat, we're going to prepare anyway."
“Yeah, better to be safe then sorry. And we can’t ignore these signs.”
"Well, let's go. I don't think we have much time to waste," Aurelius suggested, going towards the Hall of Elders in a brisk walk.
Farron followed, looking over his shoulder towards his home were Ysethen was.
Can I come with you? Nox asked, fluttering her wings a little.
"Yes, I need your word to tell them what's going on," Aurelius agreed.
He jogged up the stairs and held the door open for both Nox and Farron.
“Thanks.” Farron walked a little way in and looked back at Mox and Aurelius, “Should we knock or what? Just barge in?”
Quincy walked up to the elders, all of her stuff on them. She responded to Farron's question, "We are barging in. Whatever made Jade think I needed to pack all our stuff up needs to be reported."
"At this point, they're going to hear us out, like it or not," Aurelius said.
He bypassed the guards, who didn't really do anything about it besides shouting, "Hey!" after him. After all, he was well-known in the village, not a danger to the elders or anything.
In the hall, they were having a meeting about foreign politics and dragon knights for hire, but Aurelius didn't hesitate to interrupt.
"We've got urgent news. This can all wait."
“The dragons are having visions of you all dying and the village being burnt to a crisp.” Farron said, walking up beside Aurelius.
"So do something about it," Quincy followed them up.
"Let's not act rashly, my dears," the elder sitting at the head of the table said calmly, "We are in a safe place. No one has attacked our society in our lifetimes. Not even in our grandparents' lifetimes."
Aurelius muttered, "That doesn't mean it can't happen now. In fact, that's all the more reason to do something. We want to keep that security."
“Just because it hasn’t happened before doen’t mean it won’t. These signs cannot be ignored.” Farron said.
Do you doubt our word? Nox snarled.
Aurelius stood with his arms crossed. “Like it or not, some of us are going to prepare for the end, and if you choose to sit here and stand your ground, so be it. When this building burns down with all of you inside it, just know that you’ve been warned.”
Farron gave a mock salute and bow, “Well, see you in Hell!” He said before tuning on his heel and walking out, completely done with the conversation.
Mara waited outside. Mara, we have to be ready for whatever is coming. Mara was a bit confused because the village wasn't under attack. "I'm sorry I'm just a bit confused. I'll ask when someone comes out."
Farron walked outside, frowning and muttering things under his breath. How could the Elders not listen?
"Farron, what happened?" She walked after him. Mara needed to know what was going on. She had to be ready if something was happening, she barely got here and now this happens?
“The Elders not listening is what happened,” Farron grumbled as he walked towards Ysethen, trying to calm his dragon down, “Our dragons recieve these visions about the Elders dying and the town being burnt and those… those old men and women just think it’s a joke!”
Farron, calm down, please.
I saw all that as well, but specifically I saw you, Mara talking to a guy that had the same piercing as you, he had dark skin and black hair though. Mara leaned against Riven. "He must be someone from my village then. Did he come to help possibly?" Riven shook his head. He had a dragon with him, I thought you were the only one who could talk to us from there? Mara was surprised by what she heard, no one in her village could talk to them but her. "Then something serious really is coming."
Farron nodded, “We need to prepare for the attack.”
"How do we prepare for an attack? This is my first time doing this sort of thing." Valkyrie was already making armor for her and Riven, possibly weapons as well. So what else did she need to do? Maybe learn to fight a bit more, since she was only self taught? Yeah, I'm not sure if I'm the most fit dragon to be in a war.
“Make sure the borders are constantly watched, make sure the defenses are secured.” Farron spoke over his shoulder.
