"I know hes fast, but he's still a land dragon and can't fly to get away from people. I just want him safe." Riven nudged her. He felt happy she cared, but she was worrying too much. "I'll pay you two back as soon as I can." She needed to look for a job immediately.
"Alright then. Ready to get to work, or did you want to wait until later?" Valkyrie asked.
Aurelius looked over at the horizon, where the sun had started setting. "It's getting late. Maybe you should take measurements for now and get to work tomorrow."
"Perhaps. I'll definitely be thinking about the most effective way to arm both of them in the meantime."
Nox spread her big black wings and grumbled, You had me do a lot of work today, Auri. Could we head on home?
"As soon as I see things through here," he reassured her.
"Riven and I had a long day as well, so we'll head off to bed soon as well." She just needed to do her measurements first. "Where do I go to get my measurements done?" She also needed to clean up. Mara thought she was gross, especially her dress.
"I have tools at my house. Again, just across the street from you, so it's not much of a hassle," Valkyrie said, "I can document everything and get to work tomorrow."
Valhalla flicked his tail. Are we ready to go, then?
Valkyrie nodded and climbed on his back. Valhalla started to take off.
Mara jumped on Riven's back. "Bye Aurelius." She waved as Riven took off to their new home. It was pretty at night, people lit their lanterns and set them out, so it lot up the streets. "It very pretty here."
Aurelius waved and then climbed up on Nox's back to fly home. He opened the door, and the black dragon followed him inside and crawled to her bed while he stayed up to read by candlelight.
"I suppose so," Valkyrie replied.
Valhalla dipped down and landed by her home. She unlocked the door to allow everyone inside. Valhalla went on to rest, while Valkyrie went into a back room to grab some measuring tools, parchment, and a writing utensil.
Farron was out in the field with Ysethen, both were perched on the grass, Farron leaning up against his dragon as they sat in a comfortable and peaceful silence. They had a fire going and it gave them just enough light to see the surrounding area.
(Okay, so the first major plot point is going to be an attack on the village that kills a lot of people, including all of the elders. It scatters the rest of the village, and I figure that's when we can really start using antagonists and maybe the protagonists decide to just go ahead to where they think Riven is from, partially to flee, partially to research. But there will be some foreshadowing/ignored signs, like prophetic visions from the dragons.)
(Alrighty that sounds cool)
(Alright, just kind of trying to keep everyone up on what's going to happen)
(Oh yeah, did you want to do stuff in the assassins RP?)
(Sure, what kinda stuff?)
(Idk, just RP. We still have to figure out what that note means. Or maybe we can just reveal backstory. Up to you.)
Mara stood in the living room of Valkyrie's home not knowing where to go or what to do. Mara was pretty small so hopefully the armor won't be to heavy for her. "Think you can teach me how to make weapons, armor and whatever else?" She would love to learn. She has trouble holding back when it comes to knowledge and knowing how to do things, she just wanted to know it all.
Valkyrie shrugged. “Maybe. I’ve only been smithing for about a year. Depending on what you want, I may not even be able to make everything. But I’m sure if you ask the guy who taught me, he’d be glad to take you on as an apprentice for some time. Uh… here, let me get your measurements.”
She began taking measurements of Mara.
Mara lifted her arms straight out and stood with her legs apart. This is happened many times in the village, so she knew what to do. "Sorry, I'm quite small, although I'm a lot stronger than I look." It ticked sometimes when Valkyrie measured her.
“Smaller means fewer materials, which means cheaper armor. You’re also probably faster than a lot of others, and a harder target to hit.”
Valkyrie jotted down all of her numbers quickly.
“Now as for what type of armor you’re thinking? Light? Heavy? Somewhere in between?”
She moved over to Riven with her tools. “Riven, do you mind if I get your numbers too?”
I don't mind. Mara walked over to Riven to keep him calm. "I would like light armor, it would make moving around easier." Mara played with the feathers on Riven's head, so that he wouldn't move. "I wonder why his feathers glow in the dark?"
"Your guess is as good as mine," Valkyrie replied, proceeding to take Riven's numbers, "But anyway, light armor it is. Probably a good choice for you two as individuals. It'll be easier and take less time, since I get to work with mostly leather and not so much metal. Though I would highly recommend a metal chestplate. Gotta protect those vital organs. As for Riven… does he have any scales or any sort of natural armor?"
"Not sure. How do you test something like that?" It would be nice if he did, then he wouldn't need as much armor which means she wouldn't have to pay as much. "Do you Riven?" He rolled his eyes and nodded. Of course I do, I'm still a dragon.
"Okay, I just… couldn't see with the feathers and all. It would be strange if he didn't- at least I think it would. Would you like me to design something that protects vital areas only? I can place heavier armor there, but it would be about the same weight as a full light set," Valkyrie suggested as she finished writing down a last number.
Whatever you think would be best is fine. He said as he laid down. "We should probably go to bed. It's been a long day." Mara hugged Valkyrie . "Thank you." She smiled then walked out and across the street to her house Riven following behind.
