Progress! He was on his best behavior for first impressions. It wasn't everyday you met a crazy, metal, marooned, avian man.

Pyria tilts her head and chitters consideringly, knowing this will probably tick off axel - though that's a good thing in her eyes, the man deserved to have his ego and attitude crushed on occassion - and hops off of Inez's shoulder, scampering over to Juan and rubbing against his legs like a cat.
If buying the wings won't work, and he wouldn't give them up, she'd charm something else shiny from him.
The man began to speak- Juan began to speak. And continued speaking, starting to ramble, his eyes widening and the lucidity evaporating like a morning mist in the face of the rising sun. The Captain blinked, taking a wary step back, his hand immediately resting on Avarice, held just inside his coat. He was reminding of a mad-dog, foaming at the mouth and shaking, ready to bite anything that came close. Damn, they'd found a drifter. In and out of consciousness. Axel hissed softly as Juan started rambling in a tongue he didn't know, if it was even a language at all, and not just random sounds.
Pyria was doing her own thing, in her own way, seemingly trying to calm the man down. The Captain had mostly had enough, he took another step back, next to Inez and leaned in close, dropping his voice to a whisper just incase the mad man could actually understand.
"You think we could get'im back to the ship in one piece?" His eyes shot to the gun, resting on the ground, slightly irked nowing how he'd have to clean them again. At least its twin was safe.
The captain spoke, drawing attention to how his accent came and went. It was unclear whether this depended on his mood or the other way around. Maybe something else entirely.
'He's really taking this guy in.' Stepping- or rather, jumping- off the ship without a crazy bird-man, probably walking back on… well, with a crazy bird-man. Pyria leaped off her shoulder and Inez's reflexes caused her to reach for the goblin, when she realized she must have been trying to comfort him. He said something in another language, or at least that's what she could gather. At least he could introduce himself in English.
"You think we could get'im back to the ship in one piece?
"If he was- hmm." Dragged, maybe? Coaxed to shore and thrown on the little boat? …Both? This reminded her of the time Kavo threw that man out of a tavern. She laughed a little bit. "He could just be tossed into the little boat thing back there." Inez figured, speaking in a hushed tone so as not to let him hear. But She doubted he could hear himself by now.
The Captain sucked on his teeth in thought. He wanted Juan on the ship, it could be highly amusing. Maybe he'd be useful, maybe he'd be a pet. Maybe they'd release him in the next town an just watch what happened. Inez offered some ideas and he tried thinking them through. Maybe coaxing would be better, he didn't know how the man would react to being dragged.
"What do we coax 'im with? Bring any food? Don't think shiny things 'r gonna work this time." He shot a glare in Pyria's direction. What did a bird-man respond to? Fruit? Seeds? A little bell? Twigs?? Watching the goblin and man interact was still one of the strangest things Axel had ever seen, easily top 20. And he'd seen some things. Maybe they could just corral the thing? Get sticks and herd it to the shore? And again the variable of unpredictability came in, they didn't know how he'd react to that. For the first time in a while Axel realized what a pain it was to deal with someone who's proverbial screws had all been loosened. He muttered a curse, hissing softly again.
Pyria huffs.
"Instead of thinking how to coax him, let's think of how to herd him. Fire would work well, wouldn't you agree?" she says thoughtfully.
"Fire?" Inez repeated. Probably not, but…. "Fire." She mumbled to herself.
"You know, set fire to certain areas, letting that guide him to my ship?" Pyria replies, clearly indicating what she thought of Axel.
('my ship'… axels gonna lose it)
(That, my friend, is entirely the point of this chaos friend- she's already been shot at, most likely, so. . .)
( XD if they don't all shoot each other or get accidentally stabbed by Inez throwing a rapier around, I'll be surprised. happy, but surprised)
(Ee- Trying to figure out what to do now. Because I don't want to kill Pyria lol, but Axel really, really does XD)
(these guys just survived being attacked by sirens, unscathed, we can be a little bit unrealistic if we want lmao)
(I mean, there are non-lethal ways to shoot a creature. Grazing shots, bullets in places that don't cause mortal wounds, etc.)
(Or- how about this- a full on brawl, "all around the mullberry bush the monkey chased the weasel" type deal because Axel is too pissed to think clearly XD )
(he just completely loses his mind at the very suggestion that the deciet doesnt belong to him)
(feel like Axel is slightly more competent than that? unless the 'PoP goes the weasel' at the end is him shooting Pyria and all her various explosives she has on her at all times going off XD )
