Jas's eyes fluttered shut as Connor pulled him close and deepened the kiss. He lightly rested his hands on the back of Connor's head and the small of his back. He sighed softly as Connor pulled away but was glad when Connor stayed close. He laughed softly, "while you have been my first and longest love, you're not my only one." He murmured softly, remembering back his other lover and one of Jas' closest friends, now long dead but never forgotten. He leaned into Connor's touch, lightly pressing kisses to his wrist and hand. He watched Connor with amusement as he drifted off to sleep. "How about I do you one better, love." He mirmirmired, pressing a soft kiss to Connor's lips before settling comfortably with him and tucking him closely. "Sleep my dear. I'll see you in the morning, and every morning after." He smiled softly and lightly caressed his cheek, biting his lip slightly before letting his power push through and give Connor a beautiful dream, at least for tonight.
Connor hummed softly with a smile. The next morning he woke up refreshed and happy. When he opened his eyes all he saw a white wall. "What? Where…" He looked down and saw Jas underneath him. "That's right. I slept with him…" Connor nuzzled his head into Jas's neck with a happy sigh. He attached himself to Jas, squeezing him before he got comfortable. He thought back to his dream and smiled with a slight flush of red on his face. "Best dream…ever" he yawned and figured he should check the time. Does he get out today or tomorrow. I can't remember. Damn, I have memory issues… Connor took Jas's hand and intertwined their fingers. He kissed Jas softly on the lips and closed his eyes. He wasn't asleep he just didn't want to get up because he didn't want to wake Jas up.
Jas had given Connor one of his personal favorite dreams. One of waking up in a large bed, pillows and blankets piled on for warmth. Soft murmured and good morning kisses are shared as the scent of warm chocolate drifts throughout the room. The sun rising bathes the room in luxurious gold's and oranges. The dream would changed to different events, breakfast, walking along the beach boardwalk, reading in front of a fire that eventually lead to making out. Jas had never found out what happened afterwards. Of course he could think about thousands of beautiful endings for the dream but whenever he had that dream, none came to fruition, it always faded after making out on the couch in front of fire. It never made him feel sad though, more hopeful if anything. He sighed softly, letting himself wake up and get used to real life for a moment. He gently squeezed Connor's hand and hummed softly at the kiss. ""Morning sweetheart." He murmured, toying with Connor's hair with his free hand.
Connor opened his eyes with a grin. "Good morning…" He hummed in a deep voice. "Do you get out tomorrow or today. I forget because if it's tomorrow I have to be in the front of the building when they let you go. Kind of like a farewell party just outside with hundreds of agents lined up in the front. No biggie." Connor rubbed his eyes so he could see better. "I want to wake up like this every day." He sat up with a gasp. "Okay, okay, okay. Hear me out. Since you can shapeshift, what if you were a cat boy!" His wings looked a mess when he sat up. "You would be so adorable. If you had a tail and cat ears. Technically you already put when I touch you." Connor got all excited hoping that he would say yes. He wanted to see it. "Just for a couple of minutes…wait can you even do that? I'm a shapeshifter, but I don't know if I can." He thought for a moment tapping his pointer finger on his chin.
Jas breathed a laugh before replying with "tommorow, my love. I'll be leaving tomorrow." He tilted his head with a raised eyebrow "nah, it's not that bad, walking in front of hundreds of people who hate you." he rested his head on his hand and watched as Connor tried to explain to him what a 'cat-boy' was, all the while trying his best not to laugh at how cute Connor was being. Though, the thought of being able to show only certain animalistic characteristics did intrigue Jas. Other than the purring and occassionally eyes shifting to a cat's when emotions were high, he hadn't considered having cat ears or a tail in his human form. "How about this. I'll shift if you come over for dinner. I can't really do much in here, so it'll be easier at home." He reasoned, lightly ruffling Connor's hair
Connor chuckled. He took Jas's face in his hands, moving closer to him. "You don't have to bribe me with that just to get me to come over for dinner." He planted a soft kiss, with a smirk, on Jas's lips. "That's called a date, hun." Connor wrapped his arms around Jas's neck, placing him himself on Jas's lap. "If you didn't know already, I would know to go to dinner with you." He dug his hand into Jas's hair combing it and playing with it. "You know what would be funny if we had kids in this life and had to tell them that our first kiss was in prison." Connor giggled at the thought of it. "I probably have to go soon. I should probably change out of these clothes too. Do you want any food or anything like that when I go out. Maybe a waffle or something?"
Jas practically melted as Connor took his face in his hands, then kissed him. He laughed softly"I thought it a good incentive." He mused, holding Connor close and leaning into his hands as they combed through his hair, a pur erupting from his throat as Connor touched his hair. A light blush rise to his cheeks as he thought about raising kids with Connor but it wasn't something that scared him. "I'd love that. Well maybe not telling them about prison but still, it'd be nice." He smiled softly and shook his head "nah, I can wait until they bring me breakfast. I'll be alright." He hugged Connor close and burrows his face against his neck, never wanting to let him go again. "Any special request for our first date for when I get outta here?"
He stroked his head as if he were and cat. He smiled softly squeezing him in a tight hug. "Nope. I don't care what we do. As long as I'm with you. Sadly I can't stay with you tonight. I have to be there early in the morning." Connor chuckled. "You're cute when you're needy. Not that I'm complaining." Connor frowned. "Sadly I have to go. I can't stay in here forever, though I wish I could." His face flushed deep red thinking about the position they were in. "God, I love you." he blurted.
"I'm not needy." Jas pouted, closing his eyes for a moment and sighing softly, "just a tad bit clingy. You think after all these lives together that I didn't get to do this I wouldn't be attached to you?" He laughed softly and grinned, pressing a kiss to the tip of Connor's ear, seeing that his face had gone red. "I love you too sweetheart, more than I could ever show you in our infinite lives." He replied, hugging Connor close.
"Okay, okay. I'll stay for a little longer, but if someone calls me I definitely have to go." Connor raised Jas's head planting a soft kiss. He tilted his head, deepening the kiss with a grin. He soon pulled away with a sweet smile. "If it makes you feel any better. The reason why there would be all the top heroes is that you'll be walking without handcuffs. So, don't do anything rash like kill someone. Jake is an exception. You can kill him. I'll be there too. I'll be at the end, so once you finished walking we can go wherever you want. However, the walk is long. It takes you all the way off the property because while you are here you're our responsibility, so when you leave the property then you're free to do whatever you want. If you teleport, then it will be counted as an escape and you'll have to do more time. You can shapeshift to make it easier if you like, but you have to stay on the path. The guards that were at the back will start to leave once you get far enough. The main heroes will be at the front. That would include me. Got all that?" He explain it in a soft voice that could make one fall asleep.
Jas sighed into the kiss, leaning in as close as he could without crushing the other. He smiled softly and glanced up at Connor, eyes glazed over. He rested his head against Connor's shoulder again and nodded "mhm, I got it. Don't kill anyone, if I'm going to try something make sure it's towards the back.of the line. If I'm going to shift, its fine but no teleporting or I go back in. Seems a little excessive but rules are ready I guess. Honestly I'm honored all you hero's would be willing to come see me leave." He mused with a small laugh. He pressed a kiss to Connor's head.
Connor closed his eyes smiling at the forehead kiss. He fell quiet, just wanting some peace and quiet before anything else happened. It was so quiet you could hear his breathing. He almost wanted to fall asleep again because it was comfortable. The only thing keeping hime awake was Connor stroking Jas’s hair. He’s such a baby…it’s cute Connor smiled to himself with a light chuckled. His phone started vibrating. The quiet was over. He picked it up holding it against his ear. “Yes?” There was a long pause and Connor rolled his eyes. “So what? Did he escape or try to?” He was still stroking Jas’s hair lightly. “Listen, if this is all your going to tell at me for how about you check the goddamn rule book. It says nothing about an employee going into a prison cell. Trust me, I checked like ten times. So if you really have a problem with me hanging out with my boyfriend who is in jail then go make the fucking rule, then talk to me about it.” He growled. “Thank you and have a nice day.” He said the last part in a sweet tone before hanging up the phone. He sighed. “I should go before they get too mad at me.” He said lightly.
Jas purred to the rhythm of Connor'a petting, snuggling up against him and closing his eyes. He pulled the blanket over them both and curled up close to him. He picked his head as Connor spoke on the road and tilted his head curiously his purring quieting as Connor talked on the phone. He raised an eyebrow at being called his boyfriend but made no comment, at least not yet. He sat up slightly and nodded. "You get scary when mad." He teased, pressing a kiss to Connor's cheek. "Go my love, go do your job. I'll be here." He promised, gently nudging Connor up. He bit his lip lightly, hesitating for a moment before saying, "please be careful. I know you're a hero and all but there are worse people in here than me."
He stood up stretching his arms. “Good now a you know not to get me mad.” Connor kissed his forehead. “Of course I’ll be careful.” He left the jail cell, and then the basement level. His day was like any other, defeating villains and catching Bad guys robbing stores. I am really starting to hate my job… he yawned as he brought in the guys he was chasing after. However, they sent him back out with another mission. This time it was longer, because they had to get a lead on a serial killer with powers. Connor headed back to his penthouse completely forgetting about seeing Jas. He was too tired to think about anything and just want some sleep. He passed out as soon as he laid down. “Good night…” he mumbled.
Jas nodded slightly and watched as Connor left. While Jas had never particularly worried over much and didn't like to fuss, when it came to very few people he cared about, he couldn't help but do so. He wouldn't even know what do if anything were to happen to his family or friends if they were hurt. For sure he'll from him, but whatever came next he'd see whenever the time came. All Jas hoped was that he'd be able to control himself after everything was said and done. He took a deep breath to calm himself and looked through the books Connor had brought him, smiling as he recognized a few of his favorite titles. He hadn't realized how long it had been until he caught himself falling asleep halfway through his second book. Taking that as a sign of exhaustion, Jas shifted and curled up under the blanket, breathing in Connor's lingering scent and drifting off to sleep.
The next morning Connor jolted awake slamming his alarm clock. For once he was happy to be awake this early in the morning. He got dressed in uniform, making him look like an army officer, but except it was black. For once he combed out his hair putting it in a ponytail so it could fit through the hole in the back of his hat. He looked in the mirror and smiled he flew to the building and waited patiently at the end of the walk. There were already officers lined up and ready to go. He dusted off his uniform and elbowed the person next to him. “Do I look too excited? I think I’m too excited. Definitely too excited. I should calm down.” He cleared his throat.
“Y-Yes, you should calm down.” The person stepped away from him.
Jas had been up earlier that day, just in time to receive breakfast. He nodded thankfully to the individual earning jas a small smile. Jas found a bit odd before it clicked. This was the chef Connor had been talking about. He was about to call them back but before he got the chance, two men appeared at the door. "Wow, you guya must really want me outta here quick if you won't even allow me to eat a final breakfast." Jas teased with a smirk. He sighed softly before looking longingly at the waffles and then standing. "Nonetheless I do have other matters to attend to. Though this has been fun." He watched as the two men silently unlocked his door then stood to one side to let him out. "Not one for words, are you dears?" Jas mused, stepping out and rolling his shoulders and neck as his abilities loosened. He walked through the corridors of the building, flanked by the two men up.until the exit where he was met by hero's lining each side of the sidewalk. Jas raised both eyebrows in surprise. "Guys I know I'm a pain I'm the ass but I didn't know all or you were that eager to see me leave." He laughed softly and made his way down the Walk way, not daring to meet anyone's gaze until he reached the end. "Well, I'm glad to see at least one smiling face among the crowd." He said to Connor, taking in his all black uniform and sophisticated stance. He leaned in close, eyeing the crowd of hero's with a small smirk, daring them to do something. "You look great, love." He whispered softly. Jas took a step back and official stepped off the property line, grinning as he held Connor's gaze. "I'll see you tonight." He wink and gave a small salute before suddenly dissapearing into the space between world's.
Connor held back his voice only a soft shudder leaving his lips. His ears were very sensitive. Connor grabbed his own wrist behind his back, doing his best not to pull Jas close to him right then and there. "I miss him already." Connor watched as people started to file back into the building, he knew he had to do the same. Once he got in the building he had some paperwork to do regarding the release of Jas. He sighed he got stuck doing all of it. He had to sign documents and release forms. What's even more fun, is that Jake was there to annoy him in every way possible. Once he was done he ran out of there so fast like it was the last day of school. He remembered where Jas lived and flew there as fast as he could. once he got there he went up to the floor and the apartment building and paused. "Okay, okay, okay…" He dusted off his uniform and held his hat under his arm. Connor fixed his hair and claimed his breathing so it wouldn't look like he rushed here. He knocked on the door with a shaky hand. "W-Wait…what if he isn't here. I did go to the right floor, right? Oh please, tell me he's here. What if he’s having a party with his friends, because he’s out of jail. I don’t hear any music. I shouldn’t have knocked." He was rambling in the hallway of every wrong situation that could’ve happy all while standing there waiting for the door to open. "Should I have changed?"
The moment Jas was home, he immediately called Suni and that led him.profusly for getting him out of the prison early. He also asked him to come over to help with the date, especially since he was a much better cook than Jas. While Suni cooked, Jas tidied up the place and found a small table that could fit with the couch. Jas had never really liked the way dates looked on TV with the canes and the dimly lit room that was supposed to be romantic. He would much rather have cfort over style anytime. Hence why he had invested in a very comfortable couch. While simple, the cushions were larger than normal to accommodate the curled up positions Jas fancied. Now while his home decore was more simple and focused on comfort and items that truly meant somthing to Jas, His wardrobe was the complete opposite. Jas adored color as well as anything that could show off an eccentric color. He gravitated more towards the deep reds and purples as well as blocks for metallic accessories. He chose a loose fitting wine colored button down shirt and dark grey dress pants. When he came back down, Suni was waving a spoon around while taking in his friend's appearance. "Wow, aren't you a fancy kitty." Suni chuckled then help as Jas ruffled his hair. "Sly fox," he teased. Suni shrugged after fixing his hair and grinned, sharp canine showing. "Always my feline friend. Now I'm going to get going. I don't want to stick around and find out what you two will do." He snickered and danced away as Jas made a move to lightly hit him. "Bye Jassy! Let me know how it goes later, love ya!"
Jas shook his head but couldn't keep a smile off his face as his friend left the apartment, "love you more, you vixen." Jas called as he finished setting up and cooling the food, hoping he didn't burn Suni's wonderful food. He glanced up 15 minutes later when there was a knock at the door. He quickly cleaned his hands and rurned down the temperature on the stove before opening the door to Connor. He grinned and looked Connor over. “dont you dare change. You look beautiful. But now I feel underdressed." He laughed and waved him inside. "Make yourself at home."
Connor looked away from Jas. "D-Don't say it like that." He nodded walked into his apartment. He immediately took off his shoes not wanting to be rude. They were hurting his feet anyway. Connor looked around in awe. "This looks so comfy. You could never be underdressed. I was just too…too excited to get here that I didn't stop home before I came here. This looks much better than my apartment." Connor sniffed the air. "Did you cook?" He hummed softly. "Smells amazing. So…what do you have planned for this evening?" Connor looked around some more, eyeing the couch. How long did it take him to do all of this…I feel bad…like I should've gotten him something. Connor admired Jas's handy work especially the food. Connor's stomach growled just thinking about it. he didn't get breakfast during the day, so he mostly just ate snacks. He just wanted to get the documents done and over with. His face flushed when his stomach growled. He held up his hat. "Where should I put this?"
"and why not sweetheart? I'm not lying." Jas asked over his shoulder with knowing smile. "Thank you, it's usually not this nice looking but i tried to make an effort for today." He shook his head "no, God no. That was all Suni. You just missed him a few moments ago. Any and all complements regarding the food goes to him. I'll be sure to pass them on next time we talk. Actually, on that topic, him and the chef from the your little institute would get along pretty well. Though knowing Suni, he'd break that innocence." Jas chuckled as he sat on the couch. "I'm not entirely sure to be honest. So far, dinner. Afterwards is up to you I guess. I've never really been known to plan ahead. At least not on dates." He arched an eyebrow and laughed. "Let's feed you, darling." He said, said, standing and going to the kitchen to serve them both food. "Anywhere you want dear." He called. "There's a small table In the hallway that I use for storage and house keys that you can use."
Connor did exactly that and placed his hat where he said. "I would love to see your friend do that. I would tease our chef with it. His name is Justin by the way." He walked to the kitchen sitting down at the table. "Well, how about after we eat we could drink some wine and cuddle on the couch? If you do have wine that is. If we did that I would probably have to shower and put on some better clothes. My uniform isn't that comfortable. However, you do seem to love a man in uniform, so I'll keep it on for now." Connor smirked and licked his lips and Jas served him food. He gasped. "Now you have to shift into a cat boy since I came. That was your deal remember." He nudged with a grin.
"poor suni. That fox wouldn't even know what to do with him." Jas laughed and shook his head. "The poor thing Woddie of cuteness. He smirked and opened the fridge. "Of course I have wine. I'm not that unhinged. And I'd absolutely love to cuddle with you afterwards. To can shower here and borrow some clothes if you'd like." He huffed a laugh and shook his head with a smirk of his own. "No, just you." He set a plate of food in front of Connor. "I think it's Italian chicken in siem mystery sauce? But it tastes good so I'm not asking questions. He pressed a kiss to Connor's head and served himself before sitting down with his own food. "I do indeed remember our little deal darling, I was hoping you'd forget." He laughed softly "after dinner. Then I'll fulfill this odd 'cat-boy dream' of yours."
"I'm just saying what if you ran out of wine because you were drinking too much hm?" Connor flushed at the comment. "Well, that makes me feel a lot better." Connor leaned into the kiss. "Yes!" he was excited now. "I'm not gonna ask questions either it smells too good." He ate fast, not because of the bet, but because he was hungry. "I don't know if your clothes would fit me though. We could try either way." Connor smiled to himself, touching his ear. He was thinking about when Jas whispered in his ear. It was a pleasant memory, but no the first. "How long did it take you, all day?" He stretched his feet out under the table bumping into jas's foot. "Mm…." he swallowed his food. "How does it feel to have your powers back?"
Jas thought for a moment. "There are some oversized sweatshirts and comfy leggings if you want to use those. I don't think there's such a big clothes size difference." He shrugged and ate, trying his best not to immediately devour the food because of how good it was. "I honestly thing Justin has some completion." He mused. "Yeah since I got back, but mostly because I wanted to make sure everything was perfect." He replied, laughing softly and gently nudging back. "It was either that or worry myself to death about this." He reasoned, a light blush on his cheeks. It felt off talking to Connor in such a seemingly normal way, as if they didn't have lives of history together. As they'd been friends for years now and not now suddenly dating. It wasn't something that Jas didn't like, he actually found Connor now, all shy and timid but relaxed, more cute than he had before when Connor was supposed to be the unfeeling, stoic hero. He glanced up, shaken from his thoughts "free." He immediatly said. He flinched slightly, knowing that he most likly deserved his sentence, deserved more than that for what he had done, and Connor bringing him was a victory for him and his fellow colleagues. It felt weird having his freedom back so soon. "It's weird. Feeling restrained, as if someone slowly choking you but all the while being able to breath, but just barely. Having my powers back allows be to breath without that choking feeling."
