"Stop it," he giggled. He put a hand over his ear. "You know they're sensitive." He shook his head in disbelief. "You are not getting a taste mister. You have to wait." Connor shivered while he opened the bacon. "Y-You can't just curl around my neck like that." His ears turned red while his face with stained with a bright red blush. "Jeez, you sure like your cuddles. How about instead of crawling all over you me you get the table repaired once I finish? hm?" Connor placed the bacon in another pan letting it crackle on top of the stove. He took out two plates one for him and one for Jas. He needed these so he could place the food somewhere.
Jas grinned and lightly pawed at Connor's nose and cheeks, satisfied, that even in his cat form, he could get such an adorable reaction out of Connor. He rolled his eyes and jumped off of Connor's shoulders to the floor, trotting around before shifting back to human. "And if I prefer to cuddle you instead, then what, hm?" He murmured, hugging Connor for a moment and kissing his temple before sighing and reluctantly heading off to set the small dining room tae for breakfast which now probably was brunch. "So where'd you learn how to cook?" He asked from the dining room. "Somone teach or is it something you picked up on whim?"
"If you decided to cuddle me you wouldn't get any breakfast and neither would I and you would never want your darling going hungry now would you?." Connor took out the waffle seeing as it was done, putting it on the plate. He poed that last of the batter into the waffle maker and closed it again. He took the eggs off the stove, turning off the flame. He watched the bacon pop and simmer as he waited. "I learned how to cook from my mom. I asked her to teach me so she did. Since I ended up cooking better than her she stopped cooking and I was the one carrying the family."
"she taut you well." Jas said softly, but loud enough to hear from the dining area. He never really heard Connor speak about his childhood, much less his parents. He ambled back to Connor's side. "I can't wait to eat your cooking. And hey, maybe you can teach me." He gently nudged Connor's shoulder in encouragement before taking a few utensils to the dining area. "How's the rest of your family?" He asked, hoping up to the extra space on the counter to wait for the waffles to be done.
Connor laughed, "No, no, no you would burn the kitchen down if I even tried to teach you how to cook." Connor sighed taking the bacon off the stove and moving it to the plate. He leaned on the counter, looking back to Jas. "Well…I haven't seen them in a while. I think my little brother might be 18 now. That's crazy. I should probably go visit them." His voice was soft but sad. "I mean. I don't know how they are. I hope they're doing okay. They probably are." Connor ran a finger through his hair. He let out a frustrated sigh. "Hey, if I took a sick day tomorrow to go visit them would you come?" Connor griped his arm, scratching at it.
"I would not!" He huffed, crossing his arms over his chest. "I only did that twice on accident." He muttered with a sigh. He glanced over at Connor, his eyes softened as he listened to Connor describe his family. He loved his own family, especially his older sister. They knew what he did and why but Jas couldn't help but think that he worried them to no end. He slid off the counter and gently took Connor's hands in his own. "I'll go wherever you go, love." He reassured with a kiss to his brow. "But are you sure you want me to meet your family now? I'm not exactly known as the best person to be around. They undoubtedly know about what I've done to you in the last, no?"
Connor squeezed Jas's hands. "Well, maybe your right." Connor heard the waffle maker beep so He unplugged it pulling out the waffle. "Breakfast is served." Connor kissed his cheeks taking the two plates and putting them on the table. "So what will we be doing for my day off? I mean I wouldn't mind with we just stayed and cuddled all day, but there has to be something that you wanted me to do." He sat down at the table, waiting for Jas so they can both start eating. He never really liked eating without the other person having their food.
Jas sighed softly and pressed a kiss to Connor's hand. "Well visit them soon, I promise. Just let fix a few things here and we'll go as soon as all the loose ends are tied." He reassured, following Connor to the table and plopping down next to him. "You know you don't have to take days off just to stay with me, right. I know your job is important. That's not to say I don't enjoy you staying all day here, of course." He took a bite of food and shaking his head in disbelief. "This is amazing, sweetheart. Far better than anything I could ever make. And it looked so easy!" He ate in silence for a few minutes, needing to savor the food as well as think. "I mean, there are a few places I know are pretty great that we can visit. It's a little out of the way but I'm sure you're up to the challenge." He grinned, his eyes gleaming a bright green in the light of the late morning
(Me just now realizing this is still the morning.)
Connor just shook his head. "No, I planned to have a day off. It's only one though. It's hard to get a day off when you're out there saving everybody's ass." Connor started to eat his food giving a muffled laugh. He loved the way Jas reacted to his food. It made him happy that someone liked it other than him. He didn't really get many opportunities to show people his cooking. "Thank you!" he managed to say with all of the food in his mouth. Connor swallowed his food with a big gulp. "Did you say challenge? Who do you take me for? I'm always up for a challenge." he smirked back, stuffing a piece of bacon in his mouth. He licked the syrup off the corner of his lips. "I'm up for anything."
Jas grinned, nearly choking on his food as he watch Connor ear. "You're a mess, my love. An absolutely gorgeous mess." He teased. "And yes indeed. I did say challenge." He rested his head on his hand, his smirk widening as his eyes glimmered with mischeif. "Anything, you say?" He lightly tapped a finger against his lips in thought. "If that's the case, then I have a few places that I think we're going to go tomorrow." He said vaguely, enjoying himself immensely. "But what about for today? Any plans?" Jas asked, mind racing with future plans.
Connor shook his head. "I've got nothing. Maybe I could meet your friends? I mean they probably wouldn't like a hero lurking around where they meet and you know they probably think I might try to arrest them. You know what, it's probably not a good idea. They would probably chew me out in less than two seconds." Connor sighed eating more of his waffle. He poured more syrup on his waffle as he continued to eat. "Then again it's up to you." He stood up from his chair walking over to the fridge. "Do you want anything to drink?" He took out a bottle of cold water, drinking half of it down in an instant.
Jas tilted his head, so seeing how his small group of friends would take to meeting Connor. "Some might, especially Hatora. But Suni would probably calm him down eventually. The others would most likely be on edge but if you're with me it might be fine. We can go if you're up for it." He said with a small smile. When Connor couldn't meet his family just yet and Jas couldn't meet Connor's it was a comfort knowing that at least his second family, friends he had made on the streets, would meet the man he had been gushing about non stop. "They should be back soon if you wanna head out later to our little meeting place." He suggested, nodding his head at the question about a drink. "Yes please, water is fine if you have it." He called, standing to find his phone in the living room area
"Yeah, that would be nice. I'm up for it. Besides it's not like I'm scared of them I just don't want them to hate me." he grabbed another water bottle from the fridge with a chuckle. "You do realize we're still in your house right?" Connor shook his head continuing to eat. "Though I don't really have my own friend, besides the cook at my job." He gave a sad smile. "But I would honestly love to meet yours, but if we're meeting them later what should we do now. Maybe we could go…" He thought for a moment. What would sound fun and not boring? Connor was wrapped up in his own thoughts, not paying any attention to Jas. Maybe ice skating? No, not really in season for that. Maybe laser tag? We're not kids though. Maybe we could go out for a nice cup of coffee at a cafe. No, we just ate. This is hard! he scratched his head, clicking his tongue. He gave a heavy sigh. "I don't know what we should do until then. How about we just go for a walk and explore the town. That could be fun…in a way, right?"
"might not want to say that in front of them." Jas warned with a laugh. Though he didn't doubt that his friends wouldnt hurt Connor for showing up, he wasn't nearly as confident in that doubt when it came to words being said, especially the wrong ones. He glanced up and sighed shaking his head, "sorry, I usually don't spend as much time as I do at the warehouse." Jas finished off his plate and brought It over to the sink to wash later. He loosely wrapped his arms around Connor's neck and pressed a kiss to his shoulder "speaking of which, we still need to find a way for them to meet Suni." He smiled and let Connor go so he could finish eating in peace. "Well now you'll have more." He said with a hopeful grin. "Yeah, it could be fun. It's been ages since I walked around just to relax." He nodded with a happy little smile.
Connor had finished his plate as Jas was talking. He put his place in the sink as well. "I'll wait for his day off and send him over to Suni. I think he has thing for dangerous people." Connor laughed. "Well, since we are going out I supposed I would need to go back to my penthouse to get some clothes…" Connor smirked dragging his arms around Jas's neck from the front. He kissed his cheek, keeping that same grin. "Do you feel like using your powers and teleporting me there?" He mumbled these words against Jas's lips giving him a light peck. "Hm? You wouldn't want your boyfriend getting tired before we even start walking." He teased. If there was anything he loved doing the most, it was teasing Jas. He loved giving him light pecks or making him think something was gonna happen. Connor kissed his lips again this time a little deeper, but not too deep for it to be registered as an actual kiss. "So?"
Jas took a deep breath, a light laugh escaping him as he kept himself preocupied with cleaning the dishes. If he didn't, he'd surely drag connor into a kiss, making up for all the half-hearted ones he was receiving now, he might not even let him go for a very long while. "If I'd known you'd tease me like this just to use my ability, I would have stayed out longer this morning. He tilted his head and caught the last few moments of the deeper kiss before it ended. "Can't you fly?" Jas asked, feigning annoyance as he dried his handa with a spare kitchen towel. "How about this, I'll bring you anywhere you want to go using my ability next time. I can't really go to places I haven't been in already." He reasoned, pressing their heads together as he wrapped his arms around Connor and hugging him close. "We can do that for when we meet up with Suni and the others."
"I can fly, but with you, it's much easier." He joked. Connor gave sad laugh. "Well, then, I'll be on my way. You could always come with me. I can show you where I live?" Connor suggested. He gave Jas one last kiss before pulling away. Connor propped himself up on the table leaning back on both of this hands. "If you don't come should I meet you back here? Then we can go together." He kicked his legs back and forth as they almost touched the ground. When they did it would make a loud tapping noise and soon stop. "I just realized, I don't think I have your phone number." Connor made a soft giggle, with a smile staining his face.
Jas nodded "yeah, I'd love to come with you." He replied, pouting playfully as Connor pulled away. "I'd love to see where you live." He smiled lightly and hopped up next to Connor on the table, handing him his phone. "You'd think for as long as phone have been invented, we'd have each other contact." He laughed and gently nudged Connor's shoulder. "This is nice, just hanging out with you and planning a somewhat normal day instead of fighting."
"Yes!" He cheered. His house was nothing special and if anything it almost looked too modern and less comfortable, which he would definitely change in the future. He was a very neat person so everything has a specific place and he always has a specific way of doing things. Connor took Jas's phone typing in his number. He put his phone next to him and looked over to Jas. "Yeah, it is nice." Connor met Jas's eyes. It felt like his world stopped. He didn't know why. "You're eyes are pretty. Have I told you that?" He took Jas's hands and laced their fingers together. He simply closed his eyes, leaning his head on Jas's shoulder.
Jas breathed a small laugh and breaded his lips to the back of Connor's hand, lingering there for a moment before placing them.in his lap. "Yes, You've told me before but I don't think I'll ever get used to hearing you compliment me." He gently rested his head against Connor's and closed his eyes, enjoying the moment with his love, even letting his cat ears show and emitting a soft purr
Connor felt the slight vibration in his neck and looked up. "You even purr like a cat too? That's so cute!" Connor used his free hand to pet Jas's head, kissing his ears with a smile. "Honestly, everything about you is amazing." Connor gave Jas a soft look and kissed him on the forehead. "We should probably get going." Connor hopped off the table with his hand still in Jas's. "Should I fly you there or are you gonna try keeping up with me. Since I have big wings I fly fast." Connor smirked.
Jas bend his head down slightly so that Connor could reach better. "My dear, I'm not perfect. You on the other hand are very much perfect in every way." He murmured, closing his eyes as Connor pressed a kiss to his head. He followed connor off of the table and grinned “is that a challenge i hear in your lovely voice my dear?” He arched an eyebrow. “I think i might meet you there, since you so clearly doubt my ability to acrually beat you there. He gently cupped Connor’s cheek and leaned in close. “Cats dont do well in the sky dear.” He pressed a kiss to his cheek and gently pulled away. “Go on ahead, i’ll follow on ground.”
Connor giggled. "Yes, it is very much a Challenge." Connor walked up to the nearest window. "I'll see you at my place yeah?" Connor jumped out the window his wings catching him as he feels. He shot off into the sky, moving as fast as he could. For once he was excited to get home. Usually, it seemed like a task, but this time it was a challenge. He really did wonder if Jas could get there before he can. Instead of thinking about that he simply glided across the sky with ease. I'll definitely get there before he does.
Jas shook his head with dark laugh, "remind me to never underestimate you, my love." Jas turned on his head and grabbed a jacket, locked the door behind him and bounded down the hall, shifting Midway into a small black cat. He used his abilities to the fullest, dissapearing and reappearing on different streets, ever closer to the higher status area of the city. He mostly remained on the rooftops. On occassionally, he'd shift into a different cat all together, still black but more elongated. Longer limbs and a larger form, his hight near that of an average human being. His body lithe and narrow, mimkcing his fellow wild felines instead of a normal house cat. A perfect form for slipping in between world's, only leaving a seductive grin
Connor landed on the deck on his penthouse. He looked out to the city over the glass railing. "I definitely made it here before him. There is no way that he could've beat me." He hummed lightly to himself, singing a song that his mother sang to him when he was young. It was always in his head and he would sing it to his child if he ever had one. No one was up here just him and the warm breeze sweeping over the city. No one who wasn't right next to him would hear his voice. That's why he bought a place like this. Somewhere for him and his thoughts could be alone. He continued to hum, not really paying attention to anything else.
