Arin nodded a little. "Him. But thank you again." she said again, laying down on the bed.
Arin nodded a little. "Him. But thank you again." she said again, laying down on the bed.
"Of course." Riss rubbed her face and went behind a curtain in the corner of the room to change out of her bloody clothes.
(Do we do a time skip?)
(sure! To when?)
(Maybe to the next day? Like, maybe when they're planning the raid on the castle? And infiltration?)
(alright! Shall I handle it, or do you want to?)
(Doesn’t matter to me! I can, if you want!)
(alright!)
Kade rested his elbows on the table, fiddling with a small knife while he waited for everyone to arrive. They were going to have a meeting, to plan a raid on the castle, and not everyone was there yet.
Arin eventually arrived at the meeting place, lips tightening a little when she spotted Kade. She took a seat, running a hand through her hair.
He didn’t even glance at her. He was tired of just the thought of trying to talk civilly with her, and so he decided that it was best to preserve his energy.
Arin didn't speak to him. Ryke was doing much better, but she couldn't bring the bear to this meeting; that would just lead to too much trouble.
“Now that we’re all here,” the chief said, “let’s start. We have our people infiltrating the castle. They sent a message saying that they were ready when we were. So, does anyone have any suggestions as to how to go about this?”
Arin took in a breath, but stayed quiet. She knew that she didn't really know much of what to do about all this, so she didn't want to interrupt.
"Well, you already said that Miss Arin over here, I mean Queen, sorry, is going to lead," Kade said, in a drawling voice.
Arin glared at Kade for a moment, shaking her head a little bit and then looking at the chief.
"Yes. Yes I did." The Chief nodded. "Is she still okay with that plan?" He asked, turning to her, sending Kade a warning look.
Arin nodded a little bit. "Yeah, that's fine." she replied, lookinga t the chief and doing her best to ignore Kade.
"Do you have a preference of how many people you take?" The Chief asked. "And if they have any abilities or not? Because I want to know how many people to organize to bring."
She thought about that for a moment. "I think it depends on how many people you already have inside the castle." she said slowly. "And on how easily you expect to win."
"We have around three dozen people in the castle right now, of all ranks," he said. "Most of them are normal trained spies, but there are a few who can use some sort of ability." He paused. "We might try to make a distraction at the gate, while the others try to kill the king and queen."
(there's no queen right now, as Jacos's plan was to have Arin brought to the palace and marry her, thus legitimatizing his reign)
Arin nodded a little bit. "Alright." she said slowly, trying to figure out what to do.
(Oh, right. Whoops lol. Good to know.)
"So do you have a preference? All of our men are at your disposal, my lady," he said.
(lol)
She frowned faintly. "I'm not sure. A quiet takeover might be easier, but it would raise questions." She had no idea what to do, in all honesty.
"We need to make sure Jacos is caught, and all who are loyal to him are no longer threats," Kade said, rolling his eyes in her direction. "You could send some warriors with her, to protect her, with some other teams as other distractions, so the spies can deal with Jacos and his men quickly and quietly."
Arin let out a faint breath. "That'll work. Although Jacos can't be killed. He needs…his death needs to be a public occasion, otherwise people can and will use it against us."
