Marin could help. Kit had plenty of potentials, he just needed to learn how to control it. The mage hummed, sitting down on the with Kit in their lap.
"You're going to be great with magic one day, I can tell."

@Fraust

Kit buried his face in Marin's shoulder, sighing softly. "But it's hard… I-I can't get the magic to do what I want it to do. I can't do anything more than like… super simple stuff that doesn't even really do anything."

@Fraust

Kit nodded a bit. "I'll try my best to practice a lot so I get good at it… I'll probably have to choose a specialty, though."

@Fraust

"Mm… if you say so…" Kit curled up in Marin's arms, relaxing a little at the petting. "Hopefully the book will be helpful. It's pretty confusing right now…"

@Fraust

"Okay…" Kit leaned into Marin's hand a bit, yawning and trilling softly to himself. "Do you understand the book?"

@Fraust

"Okay… is water magic anything like fire magic?" He asked. "Or do you learn it kinda the same way, at least?"

@Fraust

Kit nodded, glancing down at his hands again. "Alright… I'm sure you could help, then. You're really good at the fire magic."

@Fraust

Kit nodded a bit. "We'll need to get moving tomorrow since we didn't travel at all today. Unless you're not wanting to."

@Fraust

"Yeah, it was nice… what direction do you wanna go in the morning?" He asked curiously. "I should be able to lead you wherever."

"To the north east," Marin confirmed. They were intent to continue their one direction journey, after all. They'd continue on until they got to the corner of the world, and as far from the kingdom as possible.

@Fraust

"Sounds good to me. There's another town that direction, but we might not reach it in a day… we'll need to find some alternative shelter."

@Fraust

Kit nodded a bit. "We should be able to find somewhere to stay for the night. We'll just hope that it doesn't storm…"
