She smiled and walked back over to him when she was done, walking in front of him and kissing his lips softly, "Sounds good." This would be her first experience buying food from somewhere other than a restaurant on earth and she was looking forward to it.
He smiled and kissed her back, wrapping her in his arms. He pulled away slightly and ran his hands through her hair "we also need to get some proper food for Spot and Queenie. I don't know how much longer they can live off of people food."
(Sry if I'm not on a ton, life is getting crazy for me)
"Yeah, they probably need that," She replied, leaning into his hands and enjoying being with him.
(don't worry!same here)
He smiled down at his beloved wife and queen and pulled her into one last kiss before nodding towards the door, "ready to go?"
She nodded in reply, her smile growing again, "I am, are you? And do I look like a midgardian in these clothes? I want to try to blend in.'
He looked her over and nodded "you look great, love. And yes you'll end in just fine." He flicked his hand to teleported them to town
The sudden teleportation scared her slightly but she ignored it, still smiling as she looked around the town to take it all in.
He glanced around and the shops and dirty streets and sighed softly “im not dure how much we’ll be able to find. Lets hope on store still has food in it.”
"I'm sure one of them will have the things I need," She replied, thinking positively as she walked towards one of the stores that looked like it would have food, "If not…..we'll think of something."
He nodded and followed her through the streets until they found a decently stocked store. "Here?" he asked, glancing up at the store they stopped n front of
She looked up at it and nodded, rocking on her feet, "This one looks like it might have something, lets check it out and hope the people who run it aren't off celebrating everyone returning."
He smiled "we really can't blame them if they are." he pulled open the door for her and followed her in
"I suppose, I wouldn't want to be working if my missing family just came back," She said with a smile, looking around and seeing no one in the store as they first stepped in.
He nodded and walked around, gathering what Avalin had previously listed off "anything else other than this?"
Avalin smiled, walking with him and scanning the items in his hands, "Not if you don't want to add anything to the bread. If you do though, then you're just missing what you want to add."
He scanned the shelves and shook his head "I think we're good." He flicked his hand and put down a $20 bill for his purchase, hoping that the person who owned the store would get the money
"Then let's get going," She said, holding out her arms to take the things from him if he wanted. It had been forever since she had last made bread, but now that she thought about it, the recipe appeared in her head again, memorized with the muscle memory of making it.
He gave her half the load and opened the door "back home or is there so.ewhere else you want to go?"
Avalin thought for a minute and shrugged, smiling, "I have nowhere else that I want to go, unless you know of anywhere we should go?"
He smiled "maybe a few, but I'll save those for later." he waved a hand and teleported them back to the house
"Alright then, time to go bake some bread," She replied, stepping close to him as he teleported them back to the house.
Once they were back at home, he set the groceries down on the counter. "I'll help you in a second, love. I just need to feed Queenie and spot."
Avalin set her groceries down as well and kissed his cheek before nodding, "Take your time, I'll be fine making it on my own."
He smiled at Avalin and nodded. He got out a few bowls and measured out the right amount of food for the pets
As he went to feed the pets, she got to work, washing her hands before looking through the kitchen for bowls and measuring tools.
