Spot hopped up onto the bed, his tail wagging as he sensed their excitement. Loki glanced over at spot and ruffled his fur "your not sleeping either hm?"

Avalin stopped her peppering of kisses for a moment with a smile, reaching over and petting the dog before placing one last kiss on his cheek, “Guess that’s the end of our alone time.”

He chuckled lightly "for now." He smiled and rolled on his side, pulling her with him. He started to play a game with spot, conjuring a small ball and flicking it back and forth, letting spot get close but not letting him catch it

She smiled and flipped over when he rolled onto his side with her, pressing her back to his chest and watching the dog. All she remembered him being was a tiny puppy, and now he was a full grown dog, playing with a ball with a wagging tail.

Spot flopped into a laying position and waited until the ball got closer to him to attack. "Smart one, aren't you?" Loki asked, flicking his hand just in time for the ball to get out of Spot's reach "bit not very quick."

Avalin laughed lightly and looked at Spot with a smile, pushing back her brain telling her that she had already missed all of him growing up. Queenie meowed softly as she walked in, her little kitten paws padding lightly on the floor while she tried to figure a way up onto the bed. Avalin smiled and slipped out of Loki’s arms for a minute, laying on the bed and scooping up the kitten from the floor before slipping back against him.

"Feeling left out little one?" Loki asked Queenie as Spot snatched up the ball. "Cheater, I wasn't paying attention." he laughed softly as spot gave him a knowing look as if to say "really? you want to talk about cheating and trickery?"

Queenie just purred and Avalin smiled, tucking her close while Spot chewed on his newly acquired ball. “This is nice,” She hummed softly, looking around at all of them together again.

Loki smiled down at her and kissed her head "Yes, yes it is. and well deserved after 5 years." He nudged Queenies head with a light finger

She tucked herself close to him and tangled one of her legs with his, a small smile on her face as Queenie pushed her head against his finger and purred. Spot looked at them with the ball in his mouth, head cocked to the side slightly when he realized they were ignoring him. He jumped close to them and dropped a slightly slobbery ball near Loki’s face, tail wagging.

Loki sighed softly before starting off the game again with Spot, hoping to tire him out for a bit. He snapped his fingers, conjuring another ball to try to confuse the dog

Spot just watched the ball in front of his face, tail wagging as he waited for him to throw it. Avalin smiled and watched the two of them, completely content and comfortable as she felt her eyes start to drift close.

Loki smiled and flicked his hand, the ball flinging across the room and out the door to the beach outside.

Spot took off after it as soon as it went flying, clearly having fun as he chased down the ball. Avalin laughed lightly at the sound of the dog leaving the room at a full out run and she yawned, though tried to not fall asleep.

Loki watched Spot chance the ball around with amused smile before glancing down at Avalin. "Tired my love?" He asked softly, lips brushing the tip of her ear, his warm breath caressing her cheek. "Sleep my dear. I'll be here when you awake." He promised

She gave a small nod and settled in against him, Queenie squirming out of her arms and walking around on the bed to find a spot to sleep as well. Within a few minutes, she was fast asleep, chest rising and falling rhythmically. Spot continued to chase the ball around, though started getting tired and less persistent with his chasing.

Loki smiled softly and kissed her cheek, pulling the covers over them to keep warm. Wrapping a secure arm around her waist, he watched her sleep for a few more minutes before drifting off to sleep himself.

Spot came back in after a few minutes and hopped up alongside them, dropping his ball before laying down next to Avalin. For the next hour or so, they all slept. Queenie settled down as well, though didn’t sleep for long before Avalin started stirring, still sleeping comfortably in his arms though.

Loki awoke, feeling her movement beneath his arm "hmm, beautiful one." he murmured, kissing her temple, nuzzling her head. He glanced around at the bedroom and sighed softly.

“Hi, Love,” She whispered, eyes fluttering open sleepily. She laced her fingers with his around her waist and relaxed, matching her breathing with his and taking her time to enjoy the first time waking up next to him in five long years.

"Good morning," he smiled and with his free hand, started to trace her soft lashes. "sleep well? or still not ready to wake up yet?" he asked, lips brushing against the bridge of her nose

She smiled and pulled the blankets over them further, purposely answering “Yes,” she not giving a specific answer. He was comforting and felt like home, strong and protective.

He kissed her brow "not ready to get up yet, hm? Well, we can stay as long as you'd like my queen." He tucked her under his chin, lightly tracing her shoulder

“A minute longer, then we can get up,” She hummed, pulling herself as close to him as she could. One of her hands rested between his shoulder blades and she traced small designs as well, a content smile on her face.

"a minute that lasts an eternity." He muttered, kissing her brow and sighing softly
