Braxton high fives her and nodded in agreement.
Lilian came back over and handed Loki and Avalin their chocolate. "We have to close up soon." She said
“That’s alright Lillian, thank you,” She said, gratefully taking the drink and giving her a small hug. A smile crossed her face and she glanced up at Loki, taking a sip of the drink.
He smiled down at her and kissed her head before taking a sip of the drink. "We are forever grateful to you," Loki said to Lilian, giving her a hug "we'll see you soon." He promised, nodding to Oliver and Holly as they headed to the door
“See you guys!” Avalin waved as well, smiling at little Oliver. Spot trotted over from wherever he had been sniffing around and his tail wagged, looking up at both of them.
The family waved back as they left.
"There you are," Loki said to the dog by their side.
Spots tail wagged faster and he took up a spot right next to Loki, causing Avalin to laugh softly, “Spot definitely likes you more than me now.” She took another sip of her hot chocolate and smiled, the warmth and taste familiar and nice.
"no, never more. Just have gotten more used to." He said, scratching spot behind the ear "queenie likes you better now. She looked about ready to attack Spot when he found you at the beach."
“That’s just because Spot was a full grown dog barreling towards us, not because of her liking me more,” She replied with a smile, glancing at the kitten. Avalin sighed and smiled, petting Spot and looking up to the sky, “How much did Asgard change with only half the people?”
He sighed softly "no better than here on Earth. The first half of the 5 years everyone wanted answers as the where half the population went. The other half was spent on arguing on how to best use our military resource."
She nodded, “It was terrifying not knowing what was happening when I was in gone, but it would’ve been terrifying here too..I would be wanting answers for the first years or so too. Though I would’ve taken matters into my own hands and gone searching instead of bickering about military.” With a glance up at him, she smiled, still not over the fact that she was back where she wanted to be. With him.
"that mostly what people did the last year. Took matters into their own hands." He kissed her free hand "but that's all behind us now. And we can assure that it doesn't happen again."
She didn’t know if he could assure that it wouldn’t happen again, but she nodded, believing that he would do anything in his power to stop it from happening once again. “Should we head back home?” She asked, still drinking her hot chocolate as she looked up at him, “Tell your brother that I’m back? Maybe talk a little while about the last few years and then get some well deserved sleep?”
"Thor and i aren't in the best relations at the moment, dear. I can send you back I you'd like but I won't be going back for a while. We both need time away from each other." He said, keeping his eyes away
Avalin looked over at him with a clearly confused look on her face, “Why? What happened between the two of you while I was gone?” She wanted to go back to Asgard, but she also didn’t want to leave Loki right after she had reappeared after five years. The only way she would be able to do both was did she figured out what happened and got them to settle their argument.
"we had a disagreement on how to use our military. I tried to take matters into my own hands and ended up in a cell. We said some things that may not have helped the situation. Afterwards I managed to get out."
She nodded, thinking about what he had said and lookin down towards the ground. “Well then, I guess we should find somewhere to stay until we go back,” She said softly, crouching down and petting Spot, “Some place that allows pets.”
He smiled softly "I can send you back if you want to get anything." He offered. "We'll be staying at the house where our honeymoon was."
Avalin thought for a moment and nodded again, “If you would, that would be great, how would I get back here though?” She wasn’t sure how long they were going to be here, but she knew she didn’t want to stay in the clothes she was wearing for days.
"I'll send you to the Bifrost. It'll give you an hour before it closes. All you have to do is be there before it closes and it'll send you back to Earth." He explained, teleporting all of them to the house near the beach
She nodded, already thinking of how to get to her room and what she needed. “An hour,” She repeated, mostly to herself as she looked around, “What if I miss it? Will I be stuck there?”
"you'll have to filnd someone to open it. Most likely my brother. Hopefully that doesn't happen." He pulled her close into a hug "or I'll have to come and find you again."
“I’ll try to be as fast as I possibly can,” She murmured against his chest, hugging his back, “Let’s just hope the city is going to be as chaotic as I think it’ll be and no one will pay attention to me.”
"let's hope. I won't risk disguising you. Simone might think you're their to oulage the castle Wich will bring more problems. He kissed her head and pulled back gently to teleported her to the castle "ready?"
She nodded, looking up at him and repeating everything in her head. Getting stuck in Asgard and not being able to get back to Earth without Thor’s help didn’t sound fun, and she didn’t want to be stuck there apart from any of the three of them.
"spot will be going with you." He patted the dogs head and waved his hand, his magic swirling around Avalin and spot in waves of light green, drastically different from the static green it had been. He smiled thoughtfully and nodded to Avalin "I'll see you soon my dear." He promised
