"I can assure you, this is not a dream my dear. No tricks, no illusions, no dream." He promised, tugging her even closer
"I can assure you, this is not a dream my dear. No tricks, no illusions, no dream." He promised, tugging her even closer
She nodded, staying silent for a moment before softly asking a question, "Loki, can I ask you something?" Her hand continued to run over his back and sides lightly, tracing small circles, "Why…why did you keep looking for me? Even after that long…you still were looking for me."
"and I would have looked even longer if the situation called for it." He said softly, tracing her cheek with a gentle hand. "I didn't want to accept you were…gone. I wouldn't accept it. If others were looking for their loved ones, why should I stop? I would've kept looking for you until the day I died and we met in Valhala."
Avalin smiled softly, nodding as she leaned into his hand, "I would've searched for you as long as I was physically able to, and when my body gave out, I would still continue trying to find ways to search for you, even if it meant sending others to look for me."
"You'd be surprised at how hard that is in Asgard." he teased lightly, kissing her brow. "I love you too much to stop looking," he muttered, heart breaking slightly at the thought of losing her once again. "I don't ever want to go through that again."
"I don't either…I wouldn't survive going through that again," She replied, burying her head against the crook of his neck and placing a small kiss there, "I love you too much to bear that happening again."
He sighed in content "it will.never happen again." He promised, hoping his words to be true. He rolled onto his back, taking her with him "hungry, love?"
Avalin smiled, holding onto him tightly as he rolled, "A little, what about you darling?" Food sounded amazing, but so did staying here. She just had to choose which one she preferred more, and this time, it was food.
"I'm getting kind of hungry. Homemade or Lillian's?" He with a tilt of his head, resting his hands on her back
"Whatever you want, Lillian's sounds good to me," She replied, kissing his cheek as she shifted to go get ready.
He smiled and sat up "don't like my cooking anymore dear?" he laughed softly and pulled on a shirt that hung on the doorknob. "fine I see how it is." he teased
Avalin smiled and just laid on the bed, making no effort to get up, "Your cooking is good, maybe not as good as mine or lillians, but it's good. Plus I don't want to make you cook."
He layed back in bed, and wrapped his arms around her waist, tugging her close "and why not my dear?" He asked with a slight tilt of his head
"Because you looked for me when I was gone and you don't need to do any more work than you've done already." She replied, looking up at the ceiling and letting her smile grow as he pulled her close.
He softly kissed her lips "being your husband is not work dear. I will never get tired of caring or loving you." He kissed her again before smiling "I owe you a dinner then if not breakfast."
Avalin smiled still as she rolled her eyes, "Fine, then if you make dinner, I'll make breakfast and we can bother Lillian tomorrow." She tipped her head and pressed a kiss of her own to his lips, "How's that sound?"
He laughed softly and kissed her once more "hmm, that's sounds great my love."
"What do you want for breakfast then?" She asked, yawning and stretching out her arms and legs as she prepared to get up.
He thought for a moment and shrugged "surprise me, anything you want to make." He smiled softly and released her from his arms
She sighed and looked over at him, "That's not helpful love, what are you hungry for?" With a little bit of persuading herself, she sat up and scooted to the edge of the bed, swinging her legs over but not standing up quite yet.
He grinned and sat up "In general? you. Food-wise…" he thought for a moment, standing up and taking her hands "hmm, how about that quick bread you made a while back?"
"I'm not on the option list until after breakfast, you need nutrients," She replied, face going bright red as she smiled, "Bread it is, though I don't know how many ingredients are here at the moment." She looked up at him and thought about what she all needed in her mind, standing as well.
He smiled and tilted her chin up with a gentle hand "did that make you blush my dear?" He chuckled softly and kissed her lips "make a list of what you needand l get them for you."
She nodded slightly, face still red, "Yes, it did." With another nod, she walked over to her small variety of clothes and found a pair of shorts and a soft shirt, ones that she wouldn't care if they got dirty. She didn't bother to go to the bathroom as she slipped into the clothes, humming softly, "I'll need flour, yeast, milk, a tiny bit of sugar, a pinch of salt, a few eggs, and butter."
He turned his back to her to allow her some privacy and nodded "I'll see what I can find here. We can go out into town for the rest of the ingredients we don't have, along with some anything else we might need for a few days."
