“N-no! You can’t, d-don’t!” He clung tightly onto Mia, refusing to let go, now fully breaking down into sobs. “P-please, we can go together later b-but you just need to wait f-for me!”
((Swim I’m about to cry during class plez))
"I can't, Simon," Mia said gently. She'd already crossed the threshold, and there was no going back. "I'm sorry… I'll be waiting for you, okay? We'll- we'll make those homes for us, remember? We're going to live right by each other, and- and we'll keep each other company." Mia took Simon's hands in hers, starting to pry them off.
"I'll get everything ready for when you come, okay?"
He shook his head quickly, still holding onto her tightly. “N-no! I-I-I won’t f-forgive you.” He was trying to think of anything to make her stay.
((Swim please I’m literally about to start bawling in class ;-;))
"Then… then so be it." Mia offered such a sad, weak smile. "I'm sorry, Simon…" Mia didn't want to hurt Simon, she really didn't. She had to get him to let go, though… She shoved him, hands against his chest.
"Let go, Simon."
“N-no! I won’t!” He was raising his voice now, getting more and more worked up by the second. He would even accept Astral’s help at this point, half hoping the god would hear his yelling and would come to help. “D-don’t leave me behind!”
"Let- go!" Mia didn't mean to get angry. She hit her fists against Simon's chest, trying to get him off of her.
Astral looked up from where he'd been left- he hadn't moved a muscle.
"S-Simon..?"
Simon could of course understand why she was getting angry. But he still wouldn’t budge. “I’m sorry, I-I can’t do that, you know I can’t.” He said, still keeping his voice loud enough in hopes that Astral would hear it from the hall.
Astral slowly rose to his feet. What was going on in there? He stepped over, hand reaching for the door.
"Simon? What's- what's going on??"
Mia let out an angered scream, hitting her fists against Simon still.
"Let go!! Let go let go let go!!"
It hurt but Simon wouldn’t let go. Tears were flowing freely down his face now. “I’m sorry…now I’m the one being selfish. But I’ll take good care of you, I promise.”
"Let go!! Let go-o-o…" Mia burst out in tears again, pressing close to Simon.
"I can't- I can't–"
Astral finally opened the door, stepping in.
"What's what's happening..?"
“I-I know..I’m sorry. Forgive me.” He said softly. He looked up when Astral came into the room. “A-Astral! Astral help, p-please!” He didn’t even know what he wanted the god to do, or what he could do.
Astral hesitated a moment at the scene, but quickly stepped forward. He pressed his hands lightly to Mia's temples, and in a moment she slumped over, unconscious.
"Here… I, I can help." Astral carefully held his hands out for Mia, not looking at Simon.
Simon loosened his grip on Mia as soon as she fell unconscious, pulling her closer to him. “What are you going to do to her?” He asked, looking up at Astral, a few tears still slipping down his cheeks. He didn’t want Astral to do anything that would mess with her mind too much.
"I'm just going to calm her down some," Astral promised. "So, so when she wakes up, she won't go right back to that."
Simon hesitated before nodding, oh so carefully passing Mia into Astral’s arms. “Just don’t wake her up without me. She’s really scared of you, ya know? And I don’t blame her.” He didn’t even know why he was saying this to Astral but said it regardless.
"I… I know…" Astral carefully picked Mia up, holding her to his chest. He moved over to the bed, carefully laying the woman down.
Simon stayed close to Mia’s side the whole time, not letting her get too far away from him. He did feel selfish, for making her stay alive, but he wouldn’t be able to make it through all of this without her.
Astral put his hands back on Mia's head, closing his own eyes. He did his work silently, his touch seemingly gentle as he did.
Simon had gently taken one of Mia’s hands, holding it carefully as Astral worked. He still didn’t trust the god, the only reason Simon let him in was because it was an emergency. After all, he was still upset from their interaction earlier.
Astral worked for some time, but finally he pulled away.
"She… she'll feel better when she wakes up," the god said, assuring Simon. "She won't try anything, not… for a while."
(D: why do I always wake up to heartbreak from you guys)
((I honestly don’t know :’) ))
Simon nodded. “Thank you.” He said softly, mostly just saying it because he knew he was supposed to. He was still bothered by their interaction out in the hall.
