Simon would most likely be willing to give up anything to get his child back. Which meant he’d likely lose everything just to get them back.
Simon would most likely be willing to give up anything to get his child back. Which meant he’d likely lose everything just to get them back.
It did. Astral didn't care, though. In his eyes, he and the child should be Simon's world. The only ones the human loved, dedicated completely to.
There was no room for any other.
And since that’s what Astral wanted, that’s how it was going to be. Simon knew loving anybody else would just get them killed.
That's right. It didn't matter who- Mia, Evan, or anyone else that came along; if Astral felt his place in Simon's life was being threatened, he'd just eliminate whoever dared stand against him.
If there were any reassurances Simon could be provided, the only one would be that he’d adjust to it all rather quickly. Maybe that’d spare him from just a bit of pain.
It wasn't like Astral would just nose dive right back into torturing Simon, either. No, he wasn't going to do that with toy, not anymore. He'd be coddled to death.
Honestly, depending on how much that all really entailed, Simon would be able to manage just fine. Even if the god did still frighten him, he’d have to bury that deep down.
He'd best do so. Astral wouldn't let him ruin anything by being scared. Simon would do just fine when he learned how to behave properly around a god.
Astral's eyes were closed, and he let out a content hum as he thought. He really didn't look like someone who was still regretting everything.
Simon would never know if Astral had told him the truth when he said that he was sorry for what he did, or if that was just another of many lies.
If Astral was being honest with himself, didn't truly know himself what it was. He just knew he'd do whatever it took to make Simon his.
Simon would probably just have to live without knowing then. He could manage though. This wasn’t his first time living with someone who constantly had a lot of demands.
Who knows. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad…
Hah! Who are was Astral kidding here, there was no way this wouldn't at least drain every bit of energy and true happiness out of Simon. Still, he'd learn to love the god.
He would, and maybe if he was ‘lucky’ he’d be able to convince himself that that’s how he really felt.
If, of course. There was no promise of it. Astral didn't care much, though. Simon had the rest of eternity to get used to it, and he wouldn't have to start until after the baby was born.
At least he had that. If Astral was making him start now, it’d certainly be a lot more difficult.
Much so. Astral looked down at the leopard in his lap, smiling some as he put the trinket away under the duise of scratching her back.
At this point Emile had started to braid his bangs, occasionally stopping to scratch at his neck. Basically he was bored out of his mind and wanted to go home.
Astral might let him go, eventually, if he knew Emile would come back. With how the god looked, one could even wager he was bored out of his mind too, and wouldn't mind in the slightest if Emile caused some chaos he had to clean up.
Unfortunately for the both of them, it just wasn’t in his nature. He didn’t cause a lot of problems ever. Except for when he went on that killing spree. But besides that, he had very few chaotic bones in his body.
It also meant they were both stuck bored out of their minds. At this point, Astral would even let Derlik in and let him stir things up, if just for a bit of action.
Actually, that wasn't such a bad idea.
((Omg yesssssss. Especially if we wanted to continue Alec and Derlik’s feud over here lmao))
(yesssssss it's totally happening then lol)
((Yessssssssss))
Of course things would get a lot more chaotic if Derlik showed up, but definitely for different reasons then what Astral was expecting. Emile himself wasn’t involved too much in the feud but he’d been around for all of it, and had helped Alec in plotting against Derlik on occasion, so the god would be sure to recognize him. And even if he didn’t, he’d definitely be able to recognize his bond to Alec if the god took the time to look.
Yes, things would be… very chaotic. At least Astral wouldn't have to worry about Derlik sneaking off to bother Simon, which was a big concern of his. He knew Derlik, who could easily ruin all his plans. Still, he was bored, and unable to inflict said boredom on one of his toys.
"It's not often the big bad god of the sun lets me up to snoop around his palace!" Derlik said, already walking into the room.
