"That's good… I don't like it when people yell at me or anything." Rowan yawned a bit and huddled closer.
"That's good… I don't like it when people yell at me or anything." Rowan yawned a bit and huddled closer.
"I see…" Matthew laid back in the seat, wings going around them again.
"Perhaps it's time to get ready for bed?" he offered.
"Probably, yeah… I'm exhausted. It's been a long day." Rowan closed his eyes and yawned again as he cuddled up with Matthew.
Matthew lightly rubbed Rowan's back, picking him up bridal style to carry him to the nest bed.
"Mm~…" Rowan huddled up in Matthew's arms contentedly. "G'night… are you gonna sleep too?" He asked.
"Yes, I am. Good night, Rowan…" Matthew smiling softly. He rested his head on Rowan, the nest tucked safely away were the chicks couldn't get hurt.
"Mmkay…" Rowan tucked himself under Matthew's chin and soon drifted off to sleep in the other's arms.
Matthew stayed up a bit longer than Rowan, making sure everyone else was settled down for the night. Eventually he did too, arms securely around his family.
Rowan was still asleep in the morning when Matthew awoke, as per usual. He tended to sleep in without an alarm set. He yawned a bit and huddled closer, his face buried in the other's chest.
Matthew awoke early, as usual. He looked down at Rowan, smiling a bit.
"Rowan," he said gently. "It's time to wake up."
"Mmmm…" Rowan stirred a bit and yawned against a he looked up at Matthew sleepily. "Mornin…" He mumbled.
"Good morning," Matthew said, smiling softly. He hugged Rowan lightly, humming a bit.
Rowan smiled a bit as well, clearly still very drowsy. "What's up?" He asked.
"Well, we need to hire a sitter," Matthew started. "Then find someone to send us to your world. We have a lot to do."
"Mmkay… let's get going, then." Rowan sighed softly and slipped out of bed to get ready to go.
Matthew followed.
"Should we bring the chicks with us?" He asked.
"To find the sitter?" Rowan asked as he smoothed down his clothes.
"Yes. I don't think Timmy would appeciate waking up to us being gone." Matthew started brushing his own hair, humming softly.
"True… I feel so bad leaving them." Rowan sighed softly. "He seemed so upset…"
"I know…" Matthew thought a moment.
"The other two seemed fine with the idea," he said. "Perhaps we could just take Timmy with us? He'd be easier to watch than Tammy, and he would keep himself with you the entire time."
"Are you sure he'd be okay? I don't want him to get hurt or anything…" Rowan looked down at Timmy worriedly.
"I'm sure. He'll stay with us the entire time." Timmy was still sleeping peacefully with his siblings, curled up with them.
Rowan nodded a bit and held onto Matthew's hand. "I… I'll think about it. I'm still not sure."
"Alright then. It's your choice." Matthew gave Rowan's hand a gentle squeeze.
"I think I'll have decided by the time we go find the sitter… I don't want the other two to be jealous that we're not taking them."
