Rowan buried his face in Matthew's chest, trembling lightly. "I-I don't want anything to happen to them… especially when we aren't here."

Matthew gently placed his hand on Rowan's head, pulling them to the side of the road so people wouldn't have to walk around them.
"Nothing will…" He held Rowan close, wings forming a shield.

"B-But you don't know that… anything could happen…" Rowan whispered. "I don't want them getting hurt…"

Matthew ran his fingers through Rowan hair.
"I don't want them to either," he said softly.

"Are you sure we can trust the sitter with them? I've never even met them before… Rowan murmured softly.

"We can trust them," Matthew said. He picked Rowan up now, holding the human close to himself.
"Tammy and Tommy will be safe with them."

"…Okay…" Rowan reluctantly desisted and buried his face in Matthew's chest. "I hope you're right…"

Matthew patted Rowan's back, moving to continue back to the hotel. Timmy poked his head out of the nest, looking up at Rowan with concern. He didn't like the idea of his siblings getting hurt…

Rowan gently pet Timmy to try and comfort him, sighing shakily. "Everything is gonna be okay, baby…"

Timmy leaned into Rowan's petting, looking up at him in concern. He crawled out a bit, reaching up to mimick Rowan's movements against Rowan's finger, rubbing him. He saw how upset Rowan was.

Rowan smiled weakly down at Timmy. "It's gonna be alright, baby… I'm just stressed right now. Don't worry about me."

Timmy looked up at Rowan, still worried for him. He continued to rub Rowan lightly.

"You wanna sit on my shoulder for right now baby? As long as you hold on tight, that is?" Rowan asked.

Timmy nodded, holding onto Rowan's finger to be lifted up.

Rowan carefully set Timmy on his shoulder and kept walking with Matthew once he was sure that the chick was secure.

Rowan nuzzled against Rowan's neck, rubbing Rowan's cheek lightly like Rowan did for him. Matthew looked down at them a moment, squeezing Rowan's hand lightly.

(So many Rowans lmao)
Rowan shivered a bit and gently continued to pet Timmy, smiling weakly. "We're almost back to the hotel, baby…"

(I… what the hell had I snorted when I wrote that?? I blame the paint fumes)

Timmy nodded a bit, purring softly. He placed a gentle kiss on his dad's neck, cuddling close.

Rowan sighed softly in relief when they made it back to the hotel, sitting on the bed when he reached it.

Matthew let out a breath when they got back, sitting on the bed with Rowan.
"How are you doing?" He asked. Fluff came bounding over, charging into Matthew's chest and pushing him fully onto the bed.

"I'm okay… still pretty stressed about the whole situation, but… stressed." Rowan sighed softly.

Matthew took Fluff in his arms, sitting back up.
"It'll all be over in a couple days," Matthew assured softly.

"Y-Yeah, uhm… I… I know we aren't dating or anything, b-but can we just… can we cuddle, please?" Rowan asked meekly, his face flushed red.

Matthew blushed faintly.
"I'd be happy to," Matthew said, voice hushed. He set Fluff down, wrapping his arms securely around Rowan.

"T-Thanks…" Rowan buried his face in Matthew's chest as he trembled, tangling himself up with the other for comfort.
