I found another reason I don't really want to come out to my parents:

One of our family friends children recently (after lockdown ended in our country) started using a feminine name and female pronouns on social media. I have been using these and switched to them easily. Her mother, my parents and my brother, have been using he-him (hopefully accidentally) and calling her '(feminine name), formally known as (dead name)' or just (dead name).

They keep claiming how hard it is to switch names and pronouns for someone you've known their whole life. But they aren't making any effort and my brother has said he is going to keep using (dead name).

I don't want it to be like that for me

I'm sorry, that's gotta suck. There's no shame in not coming out, especially if you know you won't receive support. Do it in your own time, whenever you're ready.

I had a dream last night that public school was back and I was making my way through the theater to the gym, and on my way I noticed a new wing had been added so I went down that way instead and found a door that said "non-binary and transitioning". I went in and it was a brand new locker room for all the enbies (and people early in transitioning). I set all my stuff down and cried happy tears. I felt normal in there instead of out of place. I was proud to let people see me walk in and out of those doors, instead of awkward like the women's rooms.

I don't know I feel like that dream is pretty telling.

Then it's probably aesthetic attraction. Pretty people can be intimidating.

Yeah! There's lots of different kinds of asexuals! I'm ace, and I feel romantic attraction myself!

I'm ace-spec and I experience lots of aesthetic attraction! Many do. The only requirement to being asexual is experiencing no sexual attraction. We made a big ass thread on asexuality and aromanticism, it's in the Topic Q&A section if you wanna check it out. There are some helpful definitions in there.
