One of like a million reasons I want to leave here. It's gonna get worse and stay at least this hot until October ;-;
Seriously, weather here is like a couple of weeks of nice spring weather with weird cold snaps mixed in, hot, several months of summer, fall doesn't exist aside from a few sporadic nice days, and then mild winter.

@moss

meanwhile it was 40 degrees where i live which is funny because it went up to the 70s last week

Deleted user

it's snowing. it was close to 70 degrees three days ago

@berlioz

Same.
I want to enjoy nature but I'm allergic to all of it.
To go along with that: when antihistamines don't work.

@ZephirFox8812

That one lady who walked past me while I was buying a skull at armageddon (a comic convention in New Zealand) and said "Ugh, that's triggering my veganism"

Like- what?

@HighPockets group

The Saga hiatus. It's the first time I've been into a comic while it's getting released and wowwww I was not prepared for the hiatus part or how long it takes for each issue.
It'll totally be worth it, but I really miss

video games/anime/art/just anything that oversexualizes women

Like seriously, can you draw a woman that doesn't have her breasts practically hanging out of her miniscule amount of clothing

thanks :))

Oof, yeah….
Alternatively when teachers hate a few specific kids without good reason. And often said kids are either neurodivergent or not white…..

@HighPockets group

When teachers pick like 3 kids to constantly punish, even if it's initially deserved, and then just won't let it go. Like in 8th grade my science teacher would constantly judge a handful of the guys way more harshly than the girls and send them to the hall or the back of the class for doing things he let me get away with, like talking in class or leaving the classroom without asking. And yeah they were obnoxious kids, but it was still really weird and half the time they weren't even doing anything worth more than a "ssh!"

@HighPockets group

Also teachers who pick on the kids in their classes…yeah it can be funny but it's also super uncomfortable unless you know that the two of them know each other well. Sometimes it really just comes off as bullying.

^^^ this happened to my brother the other day
he was on his computer, done with his work and playing some game and got into trouble and they called my parents when i know for a fact every other kid does this as well

Yeah it's definitely not right
I could literally get up, walk across the room, and leave to get a book from my locker and he wouldn't care, but if one of the guys (namely one of the guys who wasn't that great with school) whispered too loudly during work time, he'd send him to the hall.

@larcenistarsonist group

God, I hate how the first thing teachers and subs say when they get to my name on the attendance list is "oh, are you Mrs. [smith]'s daughter!" And then hold to me to higher standards. I also have to watch what I say very closely because the last time I got mad at a teacher (for a very good reason because he was being a conservative asshole) and lectured him, my mom grounded me and said "You can't go around ruining my reputation"

^^^^^ if it's gonna be actually funny, it has to be established that they know each other outside of those fifty minutes and the kid has to pick on the teacher too

@requiemisback language

teachers who discriminate LGBTQ+ kids ✌️
like, can you don't, it's hard enough being in this extremely stigmatized community, but you being discriminatory ain't helping nobody

Yeah, like it's funny when it's a drama class and the teacher is poking fun at a guy who I know he's worked with in shows before and who I know he actually gets along with. It's less funny when you're in class and the teacher picks some random kid to use as an "example" and it's clear that the kid is uncomfortable but isn't comfortable speaking up. My health teacher would constantly do that to my friend bc my friend corrected her spelling one time when she was writing notes we needed to take on the board.

@HighPockets group

Teachers automatically assume they can pick on me because my mom's a teacher. I hate it so much. Can I just fly under the radar for once please and thank you.

Ugh or bc they know you're a good student and assume you'll be fine with it. Like no, I'm not fine with you making fun of me in front of the class and that has nothing to do with my A.
