My education system is just "Sit around and maybe read some Bible history so it looks like I'm learning" because my mom is usually very busy and can't just sit down and teach us, so we teach ourselves.

I've been there.

This…cannot be legal.

Homeschool….. I wonder what that'd be like

Home school v public school is a great topic.

also

vax v anti-vax

@SaltyLasagna

I feel like the second one shouldn't be debatable. There is absolutely no reason to not vax your kids

yeah same
like I remember in bio the teacher played a video of a baby with whooping cough and I fucking cried
like who would be willing to risk that for their child

@ShadeStar

vax v anti-vax

Okay, but why the heck would you not vaccinate?

Some people believe vaccination gives kids autism. WHICH IS NOT CORRECT THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

Polio has nearly been eradicated due to vaccines, which means a lot to my family because my grandpa had polio at 12 years old and was told he likely wouldn't survive, and if he did he'd never be able to walk again. Luckily, by some unknown miracle, he not only lived but is still able to walk, but that still shows how real and awful these diseases are and why vaccines are so important.

@Leiko

I think there can be underage drinking to an extent
. adult supervision
.achohol improves health
.kids need to decide weather they like it or not

Ugh okay I just wanted to veer off and say how awesome it is to research these diseases. Like, Polio was so freaking bad that people were scrambling to find a vaccine. It just… facinates me, you know? Idk if I sound like a terrible person for saying that, but something about the destructive nature of diseases just… fascinates me.

Anyway I feel like we can all agree that vaccinations are very important.

I get it, if there's one event in history I know a lot about, it's the Black Death. Why? Because I'm a sick human being who likes to learn about all the horrible plagues and diseases of the past, I dunno

You find yourself rooting for the humans, but you also don’t want them to win, you know?
