Please explain to me how telling someone that they're sick and going to Hell for something that they cannot choose nor control doesn't count as hate.
Maybe my brain is too full of the gayness that 'technology can't identify' because I just saw the new Star Wars trailer and Daisy Ridley is really cute, but I can't connect those particular dots.

they dropped the new trailer?

Yeah, the teaser for 9 because the Episode IX panel was today!

(Zips to youtube.)
Don't do anything crazy while Im gone, people.

Daisy's so pretty I can't even function

She cute, but she's no Jyn Erso or Padme Amadala (only Phantom Menace tho)

@FaeEris

This is getting really out of hand, I say we all calm our shit or delete the fucking chat and start a new one????

I fail to see how this is getting out of hand?

Explain to me

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

I feel like this video might help people remember what actualhate towards LGBT people looks like. (Hint: it's not just "I believe that being gay is a sin, but I know not everyone shares that opinion which is why I would never discriminate against anyone simply for liking the same gender")

The people shown in this video are actual a–hats attempting to use the Bible to justify their ignorance

@HighPockets group

You tend to use Slippery Slope and Ad Hominem fallacies.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell crap. Can you give examples? I try very hard to avoid those.

You used a lot of 'Gay people getting married will ruin marriage', 'we can't see gayness on medical tech so it must be a choice', etc.

*LGBTQA+ people
And telling people that they're damned to Hell, can't get married, or are 'unnatural' is hate.
If you have to resort to YouTube (which is a hella unreliable source btw) you need to rethink your argument.
And you can see assholes using the Bible to justify ignorance in this very chat.

Are denying harmful experiences that users have already specified as hate?

For real?

@Althalosian-is-the-father book

How does me no having experience with being gay equate to sexist and paranoid views? (Sorry. I don't get it. Sorry guys.)

Because you don't understand what it's like to be gay, so you really shouldn't be giving unnecessary on how gay people should live their lives.
You're a cisgender, allosexual, heterosexual male and therefore have a level of privilege that LGBTQA+ people do not, and yet try and but in on issues involving us and not you.

  1. Why should I care. I don't want to do anything to them. I don't agree with it, but that doesn't mean I will try to interfere in their lives. I've said this a few times today.
  2. According to that white people shouldn't have tried to free the slaves. And I also have to deal with things myself. I have to deal with the fact that people will discredit me because I am a straight white male. I am looked down on as hateful or stupid because I am religious. I am of Arabic descent so people might assume I am affiliated with terrorism if I say it in front of people I can't trust. (This is not meant as a pity plea. It is merely a showing that we all have problems.)

This topic of the LGBTQA+ might be a sensitive topic for some and while this is a rudeness chat, it seems this is getting a large amount of hate, that isn’t needed. I’m just saying before we moved to this specific topic it was a lot more fun to be on and a little more calm/collective. I for one, am a proud member of the LGBT community, but I’m beginning to feel a little uncomfortable with the on and off arguing about our community. I think we could at least bring it down a notch. I hope I’m not being over excessive.

I specifically disagreed with the first statement. I also didn't say the second though I did pretty much imply it. I think it means there is no proof either way so obviously I will stick to my previously founded belief.
Neither were Slippery Slope. The second wasn't really an Ad Hominem.

Ella.
You're straight.
If you get a boyfriend, you will always be able to go to Prom with him.
You'll be able to go on dates and hold hands and kiss in public without people threatening you.
You can get married anywhere in the world without fear.
You will not be beaten, or kicked out, or disowned, or killed.
People won't sneer and swear at you for being a girl with a boyfriend.
You can go to just about any form of media and find a straight man and a straight woman in a relationship.
When you say 'my boyfriend', nobody looks at you oddly or with disgust.
Gay, bi, pan, and poly people don't get that.

You're cis.
You can go outside in a dress or a skirt and no one will laugh at you.
You can wear whatever makeup you want.
You can have long or short hair without being mocked.
People don't react uncomfortably when you talk to them.
They don't turn little kids away from you.
You complain about having boobs and yet so many transgirls would love to have boobs if only to pass better.
People don't tell you that you're faking it.
Trans, genderfluid, and NB people don't get that.

**DISCLAIMER: Now, I am only going to mention this, because This Rudeness Chat (Which was said previously, WAS GOING TO REMAIN IN THIS CHAT) is leaking into my happy place (a place where me and friends supposedly were using for good/hearty chatting and not….. whatever the HEcK this is) and is making me VERY upset.

Okay um- Let's settle this, shall we? Yes. "Sin" is not just a boo-boo we make. Sin is action that moves you away from God and thus Heaven, according to my understanding. Since we're arguing over what 'sin' ( a word predominantly know for use in THE BIBLE) is and is gayness is sin (as far as I'm aware, that is the debate, I see), let us reference the Bible.

  • Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) (There are other references that can be dissected and picked at for however long you'd like. I just know that I'm not gonna do it)

So, among this list of those who will not go to Heaven because they not morally right ACCORDING TO GOD, you can see homosexuals (both male and female….just the bible was written in the masculine does not mean some things don't apply to women.) are among them. I don't know where the argument is but it's easy to put two and two together, those who don't go to heaven go to hell. That's just that.

Now some of you are like: It's not a our fault that we're gay! People don't choose what their attracted to.

Well according to God (the God of the Bible), you may not have control of that/ our heart wants all the wrong delicacies of the world “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?"(Jeremiah 17:9), but you do choose what you feelings you react to.
That's why homosexuality falls in this list. Stealing is a choice. Getting drunk is a choice. Cheating is a choice. So ACCORDING TO CHRISTIANS (I'm not sure what Catholics/Others teach, I haven't studied it yet): Homosexuality is a sin, and if unrepented will send you to hell. Now, this does not justify hateful behavior towards homosexuals, they are still humans and should be treated as such.

Now I also see that there are two aspects at war here: World's Logic Vs. "Religious" Spirituality. The two don't sit together, they are polar opposites that RARELY intermingle, they can't be used in these arguments because one is faulty according to the other. So in conclusion: You people are arguing over something that WILL NOT BE SETTLE UNTIL ONE INDUBIOUSLY, I repeat, INDUBIOUSLY PROVES THE OTHER WRONG. And that simply hasn't come for us yet.

Now, those of you who know who I'm talking to, (all of you really, but you know who you individuals are), PLEASE, leave this stuff right here. Where this foolishness is meant to be. Thank you. (AND please know, You can rebuttal this if you want but just to pre-inform you: I don't care and won't read it. So don't waste your time.)

I respect your opinion and thank you for bringing your discomfort to my attention. I have yet to see anything that has alerted me that we have crossed a line just yet, but then again my bar is very high, to say the least. With that being said, this chat isn't really supposed to be fun, it's supposed to be a n open forum for people to express how they truly feel with zero filters, sometimes it can be really tough and rude.

Life is full of unpleasantries and as you said you are a proud member, so you will have to get used to people fighting over these topics, especially as you get older have have to vote on these issues. Sometimes you will face the unpleasant and harsh realities of being a said proud member. This is only a tiny bit of the actual discrimination that we face.

Now that I am done lecturing, guys take a tiny chill pill and a deep breath. Ya feel?

As you were. :)

For real?

Hate. Intense hostility and aversion.
If the person doesn't have this they are not hating.
I do not hate Eris or Shuri. I even love them some.
Someone saying you are wrong isn't hate. Someone threatening or killing is.
Differences are important.

I know they don't, and that's a terrible thing. They should be treated as equals, and just because I think they're sinful doesn't mean they deserve any of this hatred. I'm a sinful person, you're a sinful person, everyone who's ever lived is a sinful person, and I don't understand why those "sins" get more violence and mockery than other, way more serious ones.

Also, just because I happen to be straight/cis doesn't mean I can't have an opinion.
