((Attaboy just sounds weird))
He shrugged. "I guess you're on to something there."

He shrugged. "I guess you're on to something there."
(I know right?)
Tessa got up and grabbed her unfinished cake in one smooth motion. "I'm gonna go bask in the sunlight until the first round starts."
"Am I allowed to come, too?" He asked.
"Sure," she winked with a mischievous smirk. "But I'll be in a bikini again. The more skin exposed the more sunlight absorbed."
He heaved himself onto his feet, smirking right back. "Sounds fun."
She handed the plate to the shadowy window with a murmured thanks, then led Runner through the school halls, stretching as she did so. Some other wandering students scurried out of her way and whispered to each other while eyeing her fearfully. She paid them no mind.
He, however, took notice with amusement. "Seems like you have a reputation."
She snorted and folded her arms behind her head as she walked, causing some skittish kitsune to squeak and scramble over each other to get away. "I always have a reputation. Biggest bully in most of my schools. No one messes with the top dog." The last bit lost a bit of its humor, her voice sounding less amused and a tad more serious than she meant it to be.
He snorted. "But you're adorable! How could people be scared of someone so cute?"
She flashed him a toothy grin. "To you, maybe. But I showed everyone something to fear–a cold-blooded killer. And I backed up my bark with my bite." Her amusement dimmed again. "And I know all too well where it hurts the most."
"Quit being intimidating, it doesn't suit you all that well," he said, lightly flicking the back of her head.
Her grin turned to an incredulous gape as she rubbed the back of her head. "Excuse me, but I used to be the most feared person before I grew a heart. How dare you say I'm not intimidating."
"You like to cuddle too much to be intimidating to me."
She rolled her eyes. "Thank the combined efforts of Victoria Italia Ventura and Princess Cinthia to get me back what little humanity you have the privilege of seeing."
"Eh, that can come later."
She raised a brow, still strolling through the halls without even bothering to see where she was going.
He tilted his head. "Where are we even going?"
"Outside," she said, though it could easily be swapped with 'duh' with how she said it.
"Yeah, but why are we taking the long way?"
"This place is huge, and I'm going out the back. Don't really want others around." She turned down one last corridor that ended in a simple door, and turned to him with a look that said, 'see?'. "And here we are."
"Took you long enough," he said with a smile, stopping when she blocked his path. "Is there a problem?"
She waggled a finger with a smile creeping up her lips. "I need to change first. Unless…"
(Fina-fucking-lly!!! Who knew how hard it was to program a working tic-tac-toe?!)
"Oh, you're implying you want me in there?" He was determined to match her step for step. No way she was gonna make him bush this time.
She shrugged indifferently, crossing her arms over her chest and jutting out her hip. "I'm not shy."
