"And this is why I'm up for hire as a 'hero' and not you," she teased with a smile, her tone light so that it didn't sound insulting. "I think outside the box. Kind of a requirement if you want to outsmart the government on a regular basis…"
"I'm a stay at home dad without children," he said, sticking his chin out defiantly. "The backbone of the relationship, if you ask me."
She snorted. "Yes, my love. The backbone of this relationship." She patted his chest. "Keep telling yourself that."
"Hey…." He pouted, sticking his bottom lip out. "My feelings would be hurt if you weren't so right."
She moved so that her lips were hovering over his; her knees braced on either side of him. "Keep pouting like that and I'll be forced to kiss you," she purred.
Runner raised his eyebrows, a smile slowly beginning to creep onto his face. "I'll be honest, it sounds like a great plan to me."
She cocked her head to the side. "Does it? Then I guess I'll have to revoke that plan." She started to pull back.
He leaned up and met her lips before she could pull away out of is reach, his hands snaking around her side to prevent her from moving any more.
She smiled into the kiss and leaned down again, making it easier for him. She would definitely miss this, but she wasn't in the right to keep him here.
He could feel his heart fluttering in his chest, but he tried his best to ignore it and get lost in the kiss. DOes she have to make me miss her this much?
She lightly bit his bottom lip, tilting her head to deepen the kiss. She never thought that she could love someone as much as she loved Runner–and it felt great.
Sadly, he had to pull away for air eventually,, ad he had an odd look on his face as he did so. "What is it with you and biting lips?"
She rolled her eyes. "Yes, I'm weird. You should know by now I bite."
"Yes,"he said, sticking his tongue out. "You only do it every time we kiss."
She raised a brow. "Oh? Should I do it other times as well?"
