Magic has been banned, so no magic. You cannot openly speak against the Winterbourne Empire, any talk of uprising is an offense that can result in execution.

Most oppose of the Empire and Adeline's rein but are too afraid to speak out. Those who are rebels must be extremely cautious.

Verena Winterbourne (The First) was sent from the Winterbourne family to find uncharted territories in Ecra and claim them. Verena did and found Isaedia, which didn't have a name at the time. The territory was overrun with Witches and Fae, who were told they must hail to the Winterbourne Kingdom or face death. Those who opposed ran and those who refused to run were executed. A majority chose to kneel to the Winterbourne's, and they were welcomed into the kingdom. When Verena reported her findings of a beautiful, uncharted territory, slaves were sent to build a palace, and the city had begun to prosper. 50 years later, the Capitol of Ecra was moved to Isaedia.
