"Yes." Cael replied simply, looking over at the demon with tight, flat lips. He shook his head a little bit, sighing softly and running a hand through his golden hair.

"Where do you work?" Baå ventured, shifting slightly into a more comfortable position.

"A store." He replied, deadpan. He watches Baå without a shred of trust in his eyes.

Baå blew out a breath, shuffling awkwardly. "Great," he said with a tight, momentary smile. "…wonderful. I bet that's…fun."

(gtg to bed now good night!)

Cael shrugged his shoulders. "Yeah. I guess." He kicked at a rock, stuffing his hands in his pockets.

(np, it was perfect timing ^^)

Baå found himself rather jealous of the angel. He blew out a breath and glanced down at his band, shaking his head.
"You really believe we can just walk away from this."

(lol)

"Yes." Cael replied, looking at Baå. "I do." he lifted his chin. "And why shouldn't we be able to?"

"How?" Baå said, tossing his hands up in a mixture of frustration and desperation. "Why would these stupid bands even exist, why would any of this exist, if we could just walk away from it?"

"I don't know. I wasn't in heaven when this happened." Cael replied, lip curling in a faint snarl. "But there's no way in heaven that I'm ever going to fall in love with something like you." His words were sharp, designed to hurt.

Hurt they did. Baå, despite his best efforts to not care about this angel, had gotten his hopes up at the chance to find companionship at last.
He drew back, largely failing at disguising the hurt from flashing across his face. He couldn't bring himself to lash out however. he suddenly found he didn't have the energy. He began to back away, looking down to stop his face from betraying any more of his emotions.
"Fine," he said. "I'll just go then. You said it. This isn't going to work out. Goodbye I guess. Wings."
He couldn't stop himself from biting out the nickname, just to annoy the angel.

Cael inhaled at the nickname, which, though Baå of course didn't know it, just reminded the angel of the fact that his wings no longer worked. That he couldn't fly. He gritted his teeth, but stepped aside. "Fine. Goodbye."

(So uh. What now? Idk what to do lol)

Not really! I'm not a huge fan of NSFW, but I'm pretty chill with most everything! I suppose I should ask the same, you got anything I should actively avoid?)

One of the ideas I had for keeping them interacting, is to have them 'cosmically' run into each other over and over again, just to keep them frustrated xDD)

(Yup! Basically Cael sort of accidentally signed a contract that allows his employer to kinda sorta "Sell" him?? idk the details yet lmao
