"I don't have the money." he replied blankly, looking up at Baa for a moment, before his gaze cut away again. "You saw where I was working, I…"

(Yep! xDD I'm still struggling with it lool)

"Okay, fair," Baa said, grimacing. "It's not like I have money either. Man, this earth stuff is hard. I thought it couldn't get worse than Hell, but at least I had accommodations there…"

(oh noooo)

He snorted faintly, rubbing his face with a hand.

Baa settled on the couch and blinked at Cael, realizing how tired he was. It had been a long, miserable day. For both of them it seemed.
"When do you go to bed? Because I'm exhausted."

Cael shrugged. "I'm… normally still, ah… working." He said slowly, yawning quietly.

"Oh. Fair." Baa sat up again. "Well…Do you want to stay up and do something? We could…watch a movie, if you'd like. I know a couple good ones."

"Sure." He said after a moment, fidgeting with his hands, the band still glowing on his finger.

Baa had been ignoring his band as much as he could, eeping that hand shoved as deeply into his pocket as he could. But the sight of Cael's glowing finger eventually had him drawing his own hand out, almost without realizing, and staring in fascination at the glowing ring on it.

Then he snapped out of it, and glanced back up at Cael, hiding his hand again.
"Have you ever watched Master and Commander? It's about boats. And some old human war. It's pretty fun, and there's no, you know…romance."

(no problem!)

Cael blinked at him. "No." He said slowly. "I, uhm,.I haven't." He spoke quietly, avoiding Baa's gaze after only a moment or so of eye contact.

"It's a good one, I think you'll like it," Baa said. I hope so anyways he thought to himself. He wondered if the angel would care if the movie was violent. Human wars always were…
He shook the thought away and started his search for the movie, hoping it wouldn't take him too long to find.

"Alright." Cael cautiously sat down on the couch, frowning for just a moment.

Baa eventually found it, and let it play, unable to get quite as lost in the drama as usual, acutely aware of the angel next to him. He tried to keep to his own space, and not intrude on Cael's.

(Master and Commander is legit a good time btw if you ever need something to watch, I highly recommend haha)

Cael was quiet, studying Baa out of the corner of his eye before returning his attention to the movie they were watching. He had never seen it before, and so it was all new.

By the time the movie concluded, it was late enough that Baa was too tired to care how awkward this whole situation was. He yawned and shook his head slightly.
"Well, did you like it?"

Cael shrugged. "It was alright." he replied softly, glancing at Baa for a moment, then away again.

Baa tried not to think about how good looking the angel really was. A difficult task, more so than he would admit.
"Do you believe in God?" he asked suddenly, then realized how silly the question was. "I mean, do you believe in what God does?"

(oof good luck with that too!)

Cael let out a huff of breath. "What do you mean?" he asked, looking over at Baa with a faint note of confusion in his gaze.
