Kasey dropped her hand and laid her head back now.
"I don't know," she sighed, still coming out of sleep.
Kasey dropped her hand and laid her head back now.
"I don't know," she sighed, still coming out of sleep.
Liam nodded and yawned, closing his eyes again.
"Okay then…" He muttered, pulling Kasey closer.
"We just gonna lay here?" Kasey wondered, closing her eyes again.
"If you want too, I'm not stopping you from leaving anytime you know." Liam said, sighing a little.
"Hm. Then you'll be lonely, though. Plus, my next class isn't until four," Kasey murmured.
"Okay then," Liam yawned, "I think my body's trying to make up for lost sleep…" He muttered.
"If you want to sleep I can go home and study," Kasey offered, though she would prefer to stay with him.
"You could just study here, I don't mind. I'd prefer if you stayed…" Liam's voice became quieter as he spoke.
"Okay," Kasey whispered with a smile. "Then I'll stay."
Liam nodded slowly and yawed again, "Great…" He mumbled.
Kasey kissed his cheek, then looked up at the ceiling.
"You should sleep more," she murmured, turning to him.
Liam shook his head and tried to sit up, "No, no I'm fine."
"Are you sure?" Kasey asked, giving him a concerned look.
Liam nodded and rubbed his face, giving the other a slightly strained smile, "Yeah, I'm sure."
Liam knew what he was doing was wrong. To get better he needed to rest and regarding his physical and mental health wasn't good. He was slipping back into old habits but he couldn't let Kasey know, not yet anyway.
"You're sure you're sure?" Kasey pressed a bit. She would do her best to not read his mind and invade his privacy, but sometimes it was hard not to, especially when she was concerned about him.
Liam nodded again, "Yes, I'm sure." He was a gods damned liar but Kasey was already worried and he didn't want to stress her more.
Kasey sighed and forced a smile through her worry.
"Okay. Good. You wanna help me study, then?" she asked, propping herself up on one arm.
Liam groaned, "It depends on what exactly you want me to help you with…"
Kasey clicked her tongue and shrugged.
"I don't know. I've got some science stuff to do, some math, and – dreadfully – English homework," she explained.
"English and science are probably the things I can help with… maths on the other hand, maybe but I'm not the best at it." Liam replied.
"That's all right. There's not much you'd have to–" Kasey was cut off by a ringing coming from her pocket. She pulled her phone out and checked the screen with a groan. "Something's going down on Maple Street. I've gotta go…"
She looked up at Liam, grimacing.
"Don't worry about it. Be safe and come back in one piece. I want to hear all about it for another story at the end of the week. But… be careful, I don't won't you seriously injured, alright?" Liam gave her a kiss on the cheek and a concerned look.
Kasey sighed and swing her legs off the bed. She gave Liam a weary smile and a kiss on the cheek.
"I'll be careful. I promise," she assured him.
"You better be." Liam replied, giving her a small smile.
"I'll be back as soon as possible," Kasey said as she turned to the door to leave. She sighed as she walked across the hall to her apartment to grab her suit.
