(We passed 1000 posts!)
Kasey quickly headed into an alley, making sure no one was watching as she changed into her suit. She made her way to Maple street as quickly as she could, where she saw… Nothing.
There was nothing there. At least, not as far as she could see.
(Yeeee!)
Liam climbed out of bed and turned on the TV in the living room to see if there was anything on the news but there wasn't and Liam frowned. Something was wrong.
What is going on? Where is everyone? Or anyone?
Kasey continued to look around, her eyes narrowed as she searched for something, anything that would show her what was going on. Her fingers twitched as she raised things using her powers, ready for whatever would come her way.
"So… You came," a voice said, sounding like it was off to her right.
Kasey glanced that way. Again, nothing.
"Oh, my dear, you won't find me that way."
Kasey whipped around, hearing the voice directly behind her. It chuckled, sending shivers up her spine and causing the hair on her neck to stand up.
"Who are you?" she demanded. "Where are you?"
"You'll soon see, darling… But for now, go home. I have no intention of doing anything more today," the voice said, this time coming from her left. She glanced that way, narrowing her eyes. "Good day, Kinesie."
Liam paced back and forth. Nothing on the news but Kasey had said that something was going down. This just made him pace more and he bit his lip as he thought about what was going on, if anything.
Kinesie glared, slowly turning in a circle to find the source of the voice. Of course, she still saw nothing.
She waited for a moment longer before her fingers stopped twitching and the items she held fell. With a suffering breath, she walked back to the alley and changed, taking her time.
When she was done, she walked back up to her apartment. The bracelet she wore got twisted around and around her wrist, giving her restless fingers something to do.
She got back to her room and closed the door behind her, collapsing on her bed. Thinking she should probably tell Liam she was okay, so she pulled her phone out and called him.
The noise of Liam's phone ringing made him jump but he relaxed a little at the name,
"Kasey? Is everything alright? What happened?"
"Yes. I'm fine. And nothing," Kasey sighed, closing her eyes. "It was so weird, Liam…"
"What do you mean by 'nothing'?" Liam asked, sitting down.
"Exactly what I said. Nothing. There was nothing there. Not at all!" Kasey exclaimed, her eyes shooting open as she rose to her feet and started pacing. "But there was a voice."
"What kinda voice? Matt's? Someone you know?" Liam asked, rubbing his temples.
"No. I have no idea whose voice it was. And it… It was cold. Like, oddly cold. It gave me chills, Liam. I… I was scared," Kasey's voice quieted with each word, until she was whispering. She sat down at the edge of her bed and put her forehead in her hand, her elbow resting on her knees.
"It's alright. You're allowed to be scared sometimes, you can't be brave all the time, Kasey. You're safe now, I'm right across the hall from you and you are okay." Liam reassured her, even though he himself was scared for her.
"But it was like it was right in my ear," Kasey said, still whispering. "And there was no one there…"
"Hey, hey listen to me. You're home now, you're safe. I'm right across from you if you need me and I assume Harper is somewhere. You're okay." Liam said again.
"I know, I know…" Kasey sighed, rubbing her face. "Do you mind if I come over? Harper is out with a girl, and I need someone…"
"Of course I don't mind, come on over and we can watch a film or something." Liam said softly/
"Thank you," Kasey breathed, already standing and grabbing her things. "I'll see you in a minute."
"Alright, see you in a sec." Liam replied before hanging up the phone.
Kasey shoved her phone in her pocket and left Harper a note on the dining room table. She crossed the hall to knock on Liam's door, tapping her foot impatiently.
Liam walked over, one of his new songs playing on the computer that he was just fiddling around with and opened the door for Kasey, "Come on in." He said.
Kasey gave him a half smile as she stepped in. Hearing the music playing, she turn to Liam with a wider smile.
"Did you record that?" she asked.
Liam put his hands in his pockets and rocked back on his heels, "Possibly… here, I'll start it from the beginning." He said, walking over and rewinding.

(Very nice. :)
Kasey smiled and sat on the couch. Listening to the song, she leaned back into the couch and closed her eyes.
(I've it on repeat for the last hour or so lol)
Liam waited nervously from the seat at the computer as the song played. He'd never played it to someone before but was glad it was Kasey of all people.
