Liam found the song he wanted smiled and brought the paper closer, "I uh.. wrote this the other day so it's fairly new. Sorry if I don't sound great…"
Liam found the song he wanted smiled and brought the paper closer, "I uh.. wrote this the other day so it's fairly new. Sorry if I don't sound great…"
"I'm sure it'll be wonderful, Liam," Kasey assured him, gently setting her hand on his knee.
Liam took a breath before beginning,
"Oh dear, oh dear, I'm sorry
That you grew up so soon
A cold year and no high school parties
I've been drinking alone
Oh, I've been drinking alone
So, don't fear, don't fear their warnings
They're bitterer than most
Four years of driving across the country
For empty seats at their shows
And they've been drinking alone"
Kasey sat and listened in mesmerized silence. He was good, even if he didn't think so. She would listen to him all day if she could.
"So, keep your time, keep your mind, keep humble
Start your life in the middle of the jungle
You
Young blood
Rub your eyes, be surprised, keep hungry
Stay alive, try to lose all of your money
You
Young blood
You
Young blood
Young blood"
(I'ma skip so it doesn't get to repetitive)
Eventually, Liam finished the song and rubbed his neck, a pink tint to his cheeks, "I-It wasn't very good but…"
"No, Liam… That was amazing," Kasey said softly with a grin. "You really wrote that yourself?"
Liam nodded and his face became redder, "Y-Yeah… I did." He said, biting his lip.
"It was really good. Truly, Liam," Kasey whispered, putting a gentle hand on his arm.
"Thank-you, Kasey." He said, giving her a smile.
"Of course," Kasey said, holding a yawn in.
"You still look really tired. Maybe you should get some rest." Liam suggested, putting his guitar to the side.
"No, I'm fine," Kasey assured him, though the yawn that came after her words said otherwise.
(Dang, I gtg. School awaits…)
Andion chuckled, "Rest, Kasey. I'll be right here."
(Aha, I should probably go to sleep. Have fun at school! lol, no one ever does)
(Lol. Well, lucky for me, I'm homeschooled, so I don't actually have to go anywhere.)
"You could join me," Kasey murmured, already closing her eyes as she leaned her head on his shoulder. "There's room."
(Wait, really? Lucky, high school is a nightmare. It is for me anyway)
"I think I might, come on," Liam gently picked her up, "You wouldn't mind heading to my bedroom, would you? It's more comfortable then the couch."
(Darn, lol. I went to a normal school until I was 13.)
"That's fine," Kasey murmured sleepily. "Not like we haven't done it before…"
(Yeah… I wish I was home school sometimes, or at least to move schools)
Liam smiled, "I guess that's true." He said gently, walking to his room and placing Kasey down carefully.
"Mmhm…" Kasey hummed in acknowledgment. She was already half asleep at this point, and she didn't realize most of what she was saying.
"Rest now, Kasey." Liam said gently, climbing under the covers and pulling Kasey with him carefully.
Kasey snuggled up close to Liam and wrapped her arms around him. She buried her face in his chest as her breathing slowed.
Liam chuckled and wrapped his arms around the other, placing a kiss to her head before drifting off to sleep.
Kasey woke up a while later, cuddled up close to Liam. Her face was still buried in his chest, and she smiled a bit.
Liam was still asleep, his breathing slightly irregular but not by much. He shifted slightly but didn't wake up yet.
Kasey lifted her head to look at his face. She reached up to lightly brush her fingers across his face as she admired him.
Liam let out a small sigh as he blinked his eyes open slowly, "W-What time is it?" He asked sleepily.
