Kasey felt Liam’s eyes on her and looked over at him. She found him giving her a look, and she though he was trying to get something across to her.
“Um… I think it’s sort of on a need-to-know basis right now. I don’t want anyone else to be in danger because of us,” she said with a shrug. “Sorry.”
Caelan raised his eyebrows, surprised she didn’t want to tell him. It was understandable, though, if they thought t would lead to danger. He didn’t fancy the thought of getting in trouble.
“Okay. Well, then, I’m off for now. Call me if you need anything else, all right?” He gave both Ivory and Kasey a look, making sure they understood he meant it. When both supers nodded, he gave them all a quick smile and headed back upstairs to leave.
Liam tracked him as he went before he gaze drifted back down to the cat now curled in his lap. There was something about Caelan he didn't like. Maybe it was just jealousy, maybe it was him being paranoid with meeting new people or maybe his gut feeling was right and there was something wrong with the guy. He didn't know and didn't want to know.
He relaxed a little after he left, trying to not make it so obvious that he had been tense with the other male in the room. However as he was with two supers, Liam knew they would know.
Ivory gave no indication that she noticed Liam relaxing after Caelan left. Kasey, however, looked to her boyfriend and raised her eyebrows. She’d spent enough time with him to notice when his demeanor changed.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” she whispered, leaning closer so Ivory, who was now smiling down at Quake when the cat jumped in her lap, wouldn’t hear them speaking.
Liam blinked then looked up at his love. There was almost something unreadable in his expression as he shrugged, "Just glad he's gone." He replied quietly, saying nothing more then that. It was just jealousy, that was all it was. And for someone who had never had to deal with that before, Liam wasn't handling it well.
Kasey nodded, her eyes looking over his face. She gave him a small smile, reaching over to take his hand.
“Okay. At least we know our phones weren’t bugged,” she pointed out.
He nodded, giving her hand a squeeze once it found hers, "Yeah, good thing, too. Means you can call your brother in case we need him without fear of Matt listening in."
Kasey smiles. She hadn’t thought of that, but she was glad Liam had. In fact, she should call him to let him know what was going on quickly.
“You’re right. And I should call him to let him know we’re okay,” she said, standing and grabbing her phone. “I’ll be right back.”
(Heyy so I'm kinda back? Will be a bit spotty for a few more weeks because school but then I should be more active :))
Liam nodded, even though he didn't exactly want to let her go, knew she wouldn't be far. Paranoia, it seemed, had made its way into his head, more so then normal, "Okay, tell him I say hi."
(Welcome back! Take all the time you need to get back into things!)
“Will do,” Kasey said with a nod. She gave his hand a slight squeeze before stepping away and dialing her brother.
Ivory sat down again and crossed a leg over the other. “How long have you two officially been together?” she asked, looking Liam over.
(Thank you :))
Liam blinked before letting out a soft chuckle. He couldn't help but feel a little self conscious under her gaze, "Quite a while. With everything going on with Matt it hasn't felt like it, though."
(Shoot, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to leave for so long.)
Ivory nodded with a hum. “That’s understandable. I’m sure you two have been through a lot together,” she mused.
(All g, I get it)
He nodded, going a little red, "Yeah we have. Sure, it hasn't all been sunshine and rainbows, but I can't imagine not being with her.. she's my everything."
“Of course. As she should be.” Ivory paused as Kasey walked back into the room, and she smiled at her. “How’d it go?”
“Good. Liam, he says ‘hi’ back,” Kasey said, moving to sit beside him again.
Liam smiled a little at Kasey, wrapping an arm around her shoulders to pull her closer, "Your brother is great," He said with a small sigh, "Not as great as you but still great."
Kasey laughed softly and nodded. “He is. He’s a better hero than me, though. You can’t deny that.”
"Nah," He waved a hand in front of his face as if waving away the thought, "No way, you're the best in my eyes."
“If you say so,” Kasey chuckled, leaning into him. “Anyway… What do we do from here?”
(Should we plan what should happen next?)
(I think that’d be good. Lol. Pms?)
