(chokes That's HOT!)
Kasey nodded silently.
"Yeah. Thanks. I needed that," she whispered.
(chokes That's HOT!)
Kasey nodded silently.
"Yeah. Thanks. I needed that," she whispered.
(Eh, it's not that bad)
"Anytime you need me, I'll be right here." Liam replied gently, giving her a smile.
(I think the most it got up to this summer was the mid-90s… We have humidity, though, so it probably felt hotter.)
Kasey returned the smile with her own weak one and nodded.
"Thanks… I'm glad you're here to help me," she said softly.
(Yeah, I remember once I had to go to school in 113 F, it was hell)
"Anytime, that's why I'm your boyfriend. I'll be here to help whenever you ask." He replied, placing a kiss to her forehead.
Kasey closed her eyes at the kiss to her forehead, opening them again when Liam pulled away.
"I love you," she whispered with a somewhat shy smile. Her cheeks were pink, though whether that was from having just been crying or her words would remain unknown.
Liam returned the smile, "I love you too." He replied gently.
Although he may have looked calm, his stomach was doing flips at the words.
Kasey leaned forward so their lips brushed for a moment, then pulled away with a smile. While her troubles certainly weren't forgotten, they were shoved to the back of her mind, where she would eventually find them again.
Liam placed a quick, soft kiss to her lips, pulling away after a moment and careful to control himself this time. He returned her smile and placed a hand on her cheek.
"You're so beautiful…"
Kasey laughed a bit, shaking her head in disbelief.
"Right. I'm sure I'm beautiful with my red, puffy eyes from crying," she said with a half smile.
"That's beautiful to me. I don't care what you look like, it's your heart that counts." Liam replied, pointing a finger to her heart.
Kasey's eyes softened at Liam's words and she smiled at him.
"Thanks. I think that's the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me," she said softly.
"Really? Then you've been hanging around with the wrong people because anyone can see it." Liam smiled back at her.
"I… don't really hang out with people much," Kasey admitted with a shrug. "It's hard to find time to with all the things I have to juggle."
"You find time to hang out with me. You could always hang out with other people from school instead." Liam suggested.
Kadey clicked her tongue and shook her head.
"I like you better. I don't have to pretend to be normal around you or pretend that I'm obsessed with myself," she said with a smile.
Liam chuckled, "Ah I understand. At least I know you like me more then anyone else… well, besides Harper of course."
"Hm… I like you both fairly evenly, I think. You'll just have to question who I really do like better, though." she chuckled.
Liam huffed a laugh, "Fair enough. What do you want to do now? What even is the time?"
"Late. It's late," Kasey sighed. "And I have to work in the morning and go to class after that. I should really go to bed, now…"
"You should head home then, or you could spend the night…" He shrugged, "Whatever you want to do."
"Ugh… I want to spend the night, but I think I should go home. I need to feed Quake so she doesn't get hungry, and I kinda want to be home when Harper gets back from his date," Kasey finished with a smile.
"Alright, go pester ya brother about the details of his date then." Liam teased, grinning at Kasey, "And of course Quake is important too."
"Yes, my kitten is very important," Kasey laughed as she stood. "And I promise to fill you in on what I find out."
Liam laughed, "Yes Ma'am. Go get some rest. Goodnight, Kasey."
"Good night, Liam. I'll hopefully see you tomorrow," Kasey said with a smile as she started toward the door.
