Blythe took a deep breaht. "I never said you were dumb." she replied, sighing. "I was just curious, 's all."
Blythe took a deep breaht. "I never said you were dumb." she replied, sighing. "I was just curious, 's all."
"You're asking me dumb questions, it's implied," She said, glancing at Jay and then once again at the girl. Delia had no clue why she was so snappy around this girl, whether it was because she didn't trust her or the fact that she was the same thing as Jay, or because she knew Jay too.
Blythe laughed a little bit. "It wasn't a dumb question. I wasn't sure he had told you the truth." she shook her head. "Anyways. I don't know how much you know, and I'm not going to ask."
She nodded, then shrugged, "Alright, sounds good with me." Delia put her h=pack back behind her, sighing and leaning back on it again as she pulled her gun onto her lap.
Blythe stood up, shaking her head a little bit.
"If you're ready to go Jay, I think we could make it to another town tonight, We're running low on food." She said, reaching over for her crutches so she could stand and be at roughly the same height as the other two.
Jay looked over at her, and nodded slightly. "Alright." he looked at Blythe for a moment, then Delia, wondering what to do.
Delia pulled her pack onto her back before she got up, slipping her crutches under her arms and looking over at Jay and Blythe. She had no clue if this girl was going to be going with them, or what they had talked about, but she figured Jay would tell her if it was important.
Jay had no idea what to do. Should he offer to let Blythe come with them? Or should he leave that up to Delia?
"Blythe, can I ask you a question?" Delia asked, pulling her gun onto her shoulder and looking over at the new girl, "I know you can sense Jay and that's what probably brought you here, but what are you planning on doing now? Coming with us to a town or what?"
Blythe raised her eyebrows a little bit. "I will come with you if you allow me to." she replied with a shrug, looking over at Delia.
She shrugged, "Sure I don't mind." Delia glanced between them and sighed, waiting for them to get moving, "C'mon Leo, lets go," She called, whistling for the puppy who was busy running circles between Jay and Blythe.
Jay smiled down at Leo, getting up and grabbing his backpack. "Let's go." He said simply, glancing between the two girls.
Delia watched as Leo decided to stay next to Jay, circling around him as he picked up his bag. It was definitely weird to travel with two people, especially as they started walking and Delia decided to take up the back of the group, leaving Jay and Blythe to talk.
Jay and Blythe talked quietly for a while. Blythe was surprisingly tall, nearly the same height as Jay was.
She stayed quiet as they talked, bored without conversation but keeping herself busy with walking and watching Leo bound through the woods around them.
Blythe had two daggers at her sides, but didn't seem to have any guns. Just those bladed weapons.
"So, Blythe, what are you doing around this part of the country?" Delia asked, having no clue if the girl heard her or not. It was very likely that she would just be ignored as they still seemed to be talking, but it was worth a shot.
Blythe looked over at Delia. "Hm? Oh. Just exploring." she replied with a little smile.
"Fun, find anything interesting?" She asked, internally cursing her lack of small talk. It had never been easy to just make small conversation, but doing it with someone she didn't really like was even more difficult.
Blythe smiled a little bit. "Well. Some." She replied with a shrug.
(Sorry for being gone for so long, life has been crazy)
Delia offered a tiny smile in return, "Cool, have you been to anywhere else in the country? This isn't the most interesting of places I know."
(it's okay!)
Blythe laughed a little bit. "I've been plenty of places, yes. And…I would agree with you, this isn't the most interesting place."
Delia seemed to relax slightly now that they had some semblance of a conversation with each other, even if it was just about something as mundane as talking about how boring it was in this area. She didn't try to keep the conversation going though, just put on her smile a little longer.
Blythe let out another little laugh. "I will say, though, that the alien activity in this area makes up for the boringness. Just a little bit."
