The shout barely reached her, but she did hear it, yelling back, "Jay! Where are you!" By now she was completely unable to stop the panic attack, hoping that he had heard her as she leaned back against a tree and sank to the ground, letting her eyes close as her crutches and gun fell every which way around her.
"Delia!" he shouted again, following the sound of her voice. "Where are you?"
"Over here!" She shouted, though the noise wasn't as loud as it sounded to herself. Delia pulled her legs to her chest and rested her forehead on her knees, shaking very slightly.
"Delia!" he called again, trying to follow her voice, though it was difficult.
She lifted her head up and called out, "Jay, where are you?" Getting back up was tough as she tried to get back on her feet, especially as her leg felt even worse than it normally did.
"Delia! I'm over here!" he called, looking around for her.
Delia got to her feet eventually, panicking more by the moment as she tried to make her way towards his voice, "I can't see you. Where are you?"
"Over here!" he called again, trying to follow her voice still.
She took a deep breath and listening to where his voice was coming from, though it was difficult to pinpoint at first. Delia set off in the direction she guessed he was in, calling out in a clearly nervous voice, "I'm heading towards where I think you are, shout if you see me."
Jay sighed softly. "Okay!" he kept following the sound of her voice, hoping they'd run into each other.
Delia tried to walk faster, knowing the noise could help him try to find her. "Where are you?" She called again, not recognizing any of her surroundings but knowing his voice had come from this general way.
"Over here!" He called back, trying to find her. He hoped he could find her.
She turned to the direction of his voice again and her eyes widened as she finally saw movement through the trees. Quickly she headed towards it, knowing in her gut that it had to be Jay. "I think I see you!" She called, "I'm heading for you."
"Alright!" he called back, still walking, eyes flickering around to try and spot her.
Delia walked faster, sure that the figure she was heading towards was Jay. They weren't traveling with anyone else, and the thought didn't even cross her mind that it could've been someone that was following them. "Do you see me?" She called, a slightly hopeful look on her face.
(should it be him, or nah?)
Jay frowned slightly. "I'm not sure." he called back, eyes flickering around to look for her.
(Up to you and how much drama you want to add lol)
The figure was facing away from her as she walked towards them, a relieved look on her face that she had found him. She stopped for a minute to rearrange her crutches and gun before continuing forward. "Turn around, I'm right here." She called, still not worried in the least that it might not be him.
(lol. Just gonna have it be him for now)
Jay turned around, and saw her. "Oh, there you are." he said with a relieved smile.
She stopped when she reached him, finding herself wrapping him in a tight hug for a moment before stepping away, "I didn't think I was going to find you or camp again." Delia knew it was probably quite the walk back to camp, and as she scanned the woods around them, she really hoped he knew the way back, otherwise, they were lost once again.
Jay hugged her back gently. "Yeah. Well. I found you." he replied softly, looking at her. "You scared me." he admitted.
"I know..I honestly didn't mean to wander off, I was just trying to be helpful and find something to eat," She admitted, looking up at him and rocking back and forth on her good foot, "Sorry."
Jay smiled a little bit. "It's fine. Just…next time, watch where you're going, okay?"
She nodded, smiling up at him before looking around the woods again and asking, "You do know how to get back to camp, right?" She was happy that he wasn't mad and she made herself a mental note not to wander off any mor, even if it meant leaving Jay to the hunting.
Jay blinked, then nodded. "Uhm…yeah, I think so." He replied with a faint laugh. "It's…this way." He started walking.
Quickly, she followed after him, wondering where Leo wandered to or if he was still back with their supplies. "I hope you're right," She said, laughing lightly to comfort herself since she was not completely a believer of how good he knew his way back.
