Carefully, she squatted down on her good leg and grabbed one of her crutches, balancing against it while she grabbed the other and stood back up. She smiled softly at him and nodded, looking around before heading back to change into her other clothes.
He went back into the room to change, closing the door behind him. He changed back into his normal clothes, hanging the suit back up where it had been. He wished that they could have taken a picture in those clothes, but…no cameras left to do so.
She changed out of the dress with a little creativity, laying it out neatly while she got into her other clothes. With a sigh she opened the door and hung it back where it belonged, smiling at it, “Now if only I had been able to wear something that amazing to prom when I was in school.”
Jay chuckled softly. "Mm." He hummed. "I…never got the chance go go, but yeah. It would have been a lovely outfit for you, and I would have liked the suit." His smile flickered slightly at the memory of why he never got to go to prom, but…oh well.
She looked at the dress for a moment longer before nodding and looking over at him, “Well, enough dwelling on the past, what do you want to do now? Anything that doesn’t make me go up and down the stairs multiple times is fair game.”
Jay chuckled softly. "It's up to you." He replied, smiling slightly. Leo was still asleep in the room they had been dancing in.
She wrinkled her nose and sighed, shaking her head, “I chose to dance remember? It’s your turn to pick.”
"I don't have a preference." He replied softly, raking a hand through his tangled, pale hair.
Delia rested on her crutches and just glanced at Jay, “Well, we could go put Leo back on the bed so he doesn’t get left behind, then we could maybe try to find a board game or something to play? Maybe go sit out on the balcony in the other apartment?”
Jay nodded. "A board game sounds fun." He replied with a slight smile, picking up the sleeping puppy. Leo shifted slightly, but didn't wake up.
“I’ll look for one in here, though I didn’t see any earlier.” She watched as he picked up Leo before turning and looking through the apartment, nodding when she was right and there were no board games.
Jay nodded. "Alright." He said, holding Leo gently. "Want to check the other apartments?" He asked.
Delia nodded, “At least the ones on this floor, if we don’t find anything then we can check on some of the lower levels.” She walked out of the apartment and made her way over to the one they had stayed in, going in and searching the rooms again for even just a deck of cards or something.
Jay nodded, and put Leo on the bed, then started exploring, checking closets and such for a game. He hummed softly as he worked.
“What was your favorite board game as a kid?” Delia asked without purpose from the other room. It was a question to just break the silence, and she could learn more about him this way.
"Hmm…Clue or Monopoly." He replied. "What about you?" He asked, and kept looking quietly.
She shrugged, finding a game, thought it was falling apart from water damage, “Either Life or Monopoly.”
He chuckled. "Alright, sounds good." He replied. He kept looking around, but didn't find any games. "We might have to check downstairs."
“Yeah, I found one here, but the water and animals got to it first and its…not readable.” She headed out of the room she was in and sighed, “Well, let’s get these stairs over with and keep looking.”
Jay headed to the stairs. "Alright." He started heading downstairs, then stopped and looked at her. "Hey, do you need help?" He asked.
“I’m good, I’ll figure it out…eventually.” Delia offered him a small smile and put her crutches on the step below her, shakily bringing herself down to the step, “How many flights down are we going to go? Just so I know how many sets of stairs I have to face.”
"Just to the next level, which is two flights." Jay replied from the landing. "If we don't find anything on that level, we'll go to the next, and so on and so forth."
She nodded, “Alright, you can start searching, I’ll get down there in a few minutes.” Again, she repeated the shaky process and got down a few more steps, a proud but small smile crossing her face at the achievement.
Jay smiled. "Alright." He replied, heading down and starting to go through the apartments.
(Oh I'm thinking of bringing in one of the other programmed ones in a bit…not for like the entire RP, but just for a bit bc it would be interesting. If that's okay with you?)
(Yeah definitely! And if you wanted to, it wouldn’t bother me for them to stay for the whole rp)
She continued down the stairs, and true to her word, she reached the level below in a few minutes. Delia silently congratulated herself as she called out to find where Daso was, “I’m down the stairs Daso, what apartment are you in?”
