Her smile stayed as she sang along as well, going back to her dancing sort of. She wasn’t as energetic with her dancing as before, but she didn’t just sit and sway.
Her smile stayed as she sang along as well, going back to her dancing sort of. She wasn’t as energetic with her dancing as before, but she didn’t just sit and sway.
Jay stood. "Care to dance?" He asked, extending a hand to her, his pale hair tumbling into his face in light curls.
“I’d love to,” She replied, blushing slightly as she took his hand, “Gonna be interesting with crutches, I’m sorry in advance if they squish your foot.”
He chuckled. "That's fine." He replied, gently pulling her into a dancing position.
To make it a little easier, she got rid of one of her crutches and put her free hand on his shoulder. She wasn’t really leaning on him, just using him to balance so they could dance. A smile brushed over her face and she nodded to tell him she was ready whenever.
Jay started dancing. Not slowly, but not fast either, a gentle, easy rhythm that stayed with the tempo of the music.
Delia danced with him, learning how to dance with a crutch as she went. She was fairly certain she had accidentally hit his foot with her crutch, but she didn’t say anything and focused on the movement and how fun it was.
Jay smiled, and didn't say anything about her crutch, still humming softly as they danced. Leo barked, and got tangled up in Jay's feet. Jay sighed, and pushed Leo away with his foot gently, helping Delia keep her balance as best he could.
“Wonder what song will play next,” She said gently, looking at Leo with a smile when he got pushed out of the way and glanced up at them with puppy eyes.
Leo whined softly. Jay sighed softly. "I don't know." He said with a small smile.
She smiled and shrugged, already lost back in the moment. Being able to listen to music and dance was too good of a opportunity to miss.
Jay held her gently as they danced, humming along to the music when he knew it, remaining quiet when he didn't. Leo watched them quietly.
Delia hummed along as well, her memory of the song a little fuzzy. She still knew most of the words though and sang along very quietly, eyes fluttering closed.
Jay spun her lightly, not seeming to notice that afterwards, he pulled her closer than she had been before.
She laughed lightly, grip on his shoulder tightening slightly in surprise. Delia didn’t object though, pulling herself closer to him as well after he spun her.
He smiled, and kept dancing with her. God. I'm so sorry for what will happen to you. For… He sighed softly.
“Everything alright?” She asked softly, looking up at him. He looked amazing, her eyes traveling over his unique white hair and one of a kind smile. The only reason she was telling and repeating to herself not to fall for him was the fact that he wasn’t completely human.
(just wanna point out that technically he is completely human, the aliens just implanted stuff in his brain, his DNA and physiology and stuff is still human)
He nodded. "Yeah. Just… thinking." He replied, giving her a small smile. Stop falling for her. Stop it. You're a murderer and a monster. She deserves a much better person than you. She deserves someone who won't try to kill her.
(Alrighty, I’m just tryna put down what she would think. Delia still doesn’t know everything about what happened to him up there, so she would still be making guesses and assumptions)
Delia smiled and nodded, “Just don’t think too much, enjoy the music, and the rare moment of not running from drones or raiders of anything else in this messed up world.” She let her eyes close again and she sang along quietly with the end of the song, listening for what the next one would be.
(alright. I know that, I Just wanted to clear that up so there wasn't any misunderstandings :) )
He nodded. "Alright. I'll try." He replied, holding her gently as they danced. He smiled when the next song began, singing along yet again. God. I wish the world could just…go back to normal. We could all…
(Ok :) )
She joined in as well, her memory of lyrics popping back into her brain as music played and brought back memories. Not all of her memories were pleasant, but she didn’t say anything, just pressed her eyes shut a little tighter and let them play through her head until he bad ones pass. The only visible sign was her stumbling over words slightly, though it easily could pass as just not knowing the words.
Jay spun her gently, and yet again pulled her close afterwards, eyes closed as he sang along softly. Maybe for a bit he could forget. He could just pretend that everything would be okay. They were just two normal young adults, dancing together.
A smile slipped onto her face when he spun her again, though this time her hand missed his shoulder and she grabbed onto his waist for a moment before getting her hand back up to where it was before. Her cheeks flushed and she didn’t bring any attention to what had just happened, singing along again and dancing with him.
Leo barked softly, and darted forward, getting tangled in their feet. Jay stumbled, and gently pushed Leo away with the side of his foot, sighing. "Leo, no." He said sternly.
Delia sighed and shook her head at the little puppy, “Go lay down Leo, take a nap.” She was much more gentle with the words she used when talking with Leo, but her eyes showed her sternness. His stumbling made her unsteady for a moment, but she steadied herself easily before going back to dancing with him.
