Leo sat back with a whine, wagging his tail and looking up at her with a happy, doggy smile on his face. Jay had finished putting on the suit.
Leo sat back with a whine, wagging his tail and looking up at her with a happy, doggy smile on his face. Jay had finished putting on the suit.
Delia smiled and rolled her eyes, “You naughty little puppy.” She lifted up the bottom only her dress with one hand so he wouldn’t bite it and made her way to the door knocking before opening it and stepping through. Glancing at his suit, her mind just kept repeating how damn hot he was in a suit and she forced herself to stop staring and smile at him, “How do I look?”
Jay turned, and looked at. Damn, she looks good. He thought. He swallowed. "You look…really beautiful, actually." He said softly. Leo followed her.
“You don't look half bad yourself,” She said, face flushing she showing that she thought he looked way better than not half bad, “Only thing that could improve this dress is a small pair of matching heels and no crutch.” Delia was in love with the dress, wishing she could spin around and dance in it.
Jay smiled. "Thanks." He replied, tugging on the lapels absently. He looked over at her. Damn it. She's… He cleared his throat softly. Normal. Normal. Don't get attached. You'll kill her sooner or later, remember? You're a monster. She's not. Let her be normal and happy. She wouldn't ever like you back anyway, if your little attraction ever became more.
Glancing down, she smiled at Leo before looking back up at Jay and starting out toward the main part of the apartment, “I feel like a princess in this thing. I love it!” She spun as best she could and her smile grew as she looked over to him again and couldn’t stop herself from thinking of dancing with him. He was damn attractive, though she wasn’t about to admit he looked even hotter in a suit, even if he really did. A small part of her mind though kept reminding her that he could kill her at any time, and that letting herself even just like him could be dangerous.
Leo barked softly. Jay smiled slightly. "You look like a princess." He replied, watching her. If only the world wasn't like this. If only we could have met in a different way. If we were just…normal people. If I wasn't…what I am. If we could be… He sighed softly, raking a hand through his pale hair.
“Well, what should we do now? I’m not getting out of this dress anytime soon, so no stairs.” She looked around the apartment and sighed, her smile still on her face though shrinking slightly, “If we had music I’d say we should dance and just have fun for a day before we get back on the road.”
Jay smiled slightly. "I could him the whole time, but otherwise, yeah, there isnt really any music." He said with a soft sigh.
Delia laughed lightly and shook her head, "I wouldn't make you hum the whole time, so dancing is out. Maybe we just talk? Or make something to eat?" As long as she could stay in this beautiful dress, she was fine with anything.
He chuckled softly. "Alright. I'm good with either one." Leo barked softly, tugging on the dress with his teeth again, growling playfully.
"Stop Leo, don't rip this dress," Delia warned, still not able to get him away from the material,
"Are you trying to pull me somewhere?" She really didn't want to ruin the dress, especially with doc slobber and ripped fabric. "Hey Jay? Mind helping with dumb-dumb here?"
Jay smiled, picking up the squirming puppy. "Hey, bud." Leo squirmed, licking at him. Jay chuckled softly, looking down at the little pup.
"Thanks," She said, moving the one crutch she was moving from under one arm to the other since they weren't walking around. A small smile flicked over her face and she glanced over at the two of them, wishing she could've gotten a picture of the two of them together like that.
"You're welcome." Jay replied, petting Leo to keep him still. Leo kept squirming, tail wagging happily.
Delia watched Leo for a minute before looking down at her dress and running a hand over the fabric, “I’m in love with the color of this dress, and your matching tie there.” Midnight blue was now her favorite color she decided, pretty and quite formal.
Jay nodded. "Yeah. It's a gorgeous color." He replied. And it looks… really good on her. He swallowed slightly. Leo squirmed out of his arms, jumping on the floor.
“I wish there was still makeup out that wasn’t expired and I could still use,” She admitted, “Even just a touch of mascara and a soft pink lipstick would make me look more like I belong in this dress.” Her eyes followed Leo to make sure he wasn’t going to eat her dress and she rested heavily on her crutch since she didn’t want to risk sitting down in a flimsy chair.
Jay nodded. "Yeah… I mean, you could try the expired stuff, but I don't know if it would work or not." He said with a shrug. Leo explored the room happily.
Delia shook her head, “The mascara is probably all dried out by now, and I don’t want to risk my luck with expired lipstick.” She sighed and just studied her dress, smile appearing as she swung her good leg and watched as the fabric moved around and shimmered.
Jay nodded. "Alright. Sounds good." He replied, watching her. He could pick her up and spin her around, but…she might not be too happy with him if he did.
Her attention didn't drift from the dress as she thought and admired. This would most likely be the only time she would be able to wear a dress like this for the rest of her life and she was going to take full advantage of it. As her mind kept repeating, it was beautiful and Jay was exceptionally hot as well.
(oh happy birthday!!)
Jay started searching through the apartment. He grinned. "Hey, a generator! If it works…" He clicked the buttons, and it slowly sputtered and hummed to life. He grinned again. "if we can find a CD player, we can play music now!"
(XD thanks!!)
"Hm?" Delia looked up when she heard the sound of a generator sputtering to life, a small smile appearing on her face, "A CD player is gonna be hard to find, but I think we can do it." She switched her cruch to back under the arm she needed and started walking around and looking for even just some CDs.
(you're welcome!)
Jay grinned, and started hunting. "I'll check the other apartments, holler if you need me." He said, stepping out to explore the other apartments.
