Jay chuckled. "Maybe tomorrow can be dress up day." He said with a shrug. "We can try on different stuff."
Jay chuckled. "Maybe tomorrow can be dress up day." He said with a shrug. "We can try on different stuff."
Delia smiled and nodded, "Sure, tomorrow will be dress up day." She then went silent, going back to searching and pulling out the occasional item she liked.
Jay nodded, chuckling. "Alright then." He said, sifting through the clothes.
With a content look on her face, she finished looking through the women's clothes. She had found several things she liked and that could be used as well, most of them being shirts that were slightly too big or pants that may or may not fit her.
Jay hadn't set any aside, and had just left them as is. He sighed softly.
"Find any clothes you like?" She asked, already looking over her items to see if she would be able to take them all with.
Jay shrugged. "A few, I guess." He said.
Delia nodded, "You know we can take them with right? There's no one here to say we can't, and we kinda need these clothes more than whoever lived here before." She scooped the pile up in her arms and tried to find a good way to hold them while using her crutches.
Jay nodded. "Yeah…I'd rather just try them on later and stuff, really." He replied with a shrug. "Want me to carry some of those for you?"
"Nah, I'll figure out something," She replied, setting them on her shoulder and pinningthem down with the side of her head, "See? I got it."
He chuckled. "Alright then." He walked and held the doors for her, so that they wouldn't be yet another obstacle in the way.
Delia smiled in thanks as she made her way back to the apartment they were staying in, dumping the clothes on the edge of the bed and glancing at the still fast asleep Leo.
Jay was quiet, smiling slightly as he looked over at Leo. Leo was still fast asleep, laying on his side. Jay reached over and patted the puppy's side gently. "We definitely tired him out today." He commented softly.
"Yeah," She agreed with a nod, sitting down on the edge of the bed with a sigh. Setting her crutches on the ground, she flopped backwards, careful not to hit Leo, "I think I tired myself out today too, there's way to many stairs in this building."
Jay chuckled, sitting down on the bed. "Yeah." He agreed, taking off his shoes and setting them down.
Gently, she slipped her shoe off her uninjured leg before sitting up with a sigh and wiggling the other one off. "Still want that shoulder massage?" She asked half jokingly, looked over at him and cracking a small smile.
He chuckled. "If you're offering it still. And if I don't have to take my shirt off." He stretched, yawning slightly. He covered his mouth with a hand.
"Of course you don't have to take your shirt off, and yes I'm still offering it." A small smile crossed her face and she swung her legs onto the bed, "You're going to have to move over here though, cuz' I'm not moving now that I have my shoes off."
Jay smiled. "Good." He came over, sitting in front of her. "Thank you." He said softly, stretching again. Leo shifted slightly, still asleep.
Delia nodded and started massaging his shoulders, working out the knots she felt, "No problem." It was sort of comforting to it, she was able to think and be useful at the same time.
He leaned into her hands slightly without realizing it, closing his eyes. His back was slightly tense, and there were odd, hard ridges running all over his skin, that could even be felt through his shirt. Scar tissue.
The lines that felt quite a lot like scars were one of the first things she noticed, but she didn't mention anything. She didn't want to make him mad or pry into his past if he didn't want her too so she just kept working, humming softly to herself as well.
Jay was quiet. "Thank you, Delia." He said softly, shifting slightly. He wondered if she could feel his scars, but didn't ask.
"No problem," She replied in a voice just as soft, concentrating on one really tense section and trying to get it to relax.
He was quiet, eyes closed. Leo kept sleeping, twitching slightly in his sleep.
