(No problem!)

Ava, still half asleep and dressed in her pajamas, shuffles down the stairs to answer the door. It’s five in the morning and someone has the audacity to knock. She should still be in bed for another half an hour or so. Throwing the door open, she rubs sleepily at her eyes. “What the fuck are you doing here?” The last person she expects to see is her father and yet here he is. It’s been a week since the incident and a week since they’ve last spoken. She was happy with that arrangement. This dropping by out of nowhere is becoming a habit of his that she certainly does not appreciate. She needs time to prepare herself to deal with him. It’s hard not strangle him when he suddenly pops by. “Aren’t you going to invite me inside?” The man’s words startle her out of her thoughts. This is no going to end well.

Cameron had woken up from his sleep yet didn’t follow Ava until she started talking. Cameron turned the corner and his eyes popped open and squinted at her father, stepping forward, looking as hostile as his wife as they sided each other. If that guy tried to break in he’d have to get through Cameron, who was at least six foot four. He wasn’t gonna get anywhere.
“We will not invite you inside,” He responded sharply. “Ava asked you a question.”

@LolaBug

Ava stares at her father, still processing the fact that he’s standing there. The fact that he’s here has her worried. After last time she didn’t think that he’d be stupid enough to show his face for awhile. Luckily, Cameron arrives and breaks the awkward silence.
“I want to talk. Not to you but to my daughter,” Malcom replies, his dislike for the other man obvious. They’ve never gotten along and he’s had no issues with expressing his feelings about his daughter’s husband.

“I’m not letting you talk to her alone.” He wrapped his arm around her shoulders and moved closer to her, standing over the man ominously, almost like a crow watching its prey. “Besides she would tell me anyway. Because that’s what couples do. Respect each other.” He glanced down at Ava before continuing. “And we don’t want you entering this house. You’re not welcome.”

@LolaBug

“I don’t want to talk to you.” The words are hard to say under the intense glare she’s getting but she manages to spit them out. “Go away.” She knows that she’d be screwed the second she agreed to talk to him. Avoiding a repeat of a week ago would be wonderful. She knows that her father is only in Russia for a week so if they can get out of this talk then they’ll be home free.
The man’s eyes narrow when his request to talk is denied. “I’m not leaving until you agree to talk.” He’s much too used to getting what he wants to back down easily.

Cameron stretched out and just slammed the door in his face. He locked it again and turned away from it, walking away with Ava still in his arm. That man was going to go away whether they had to call the police or kill him. He was trespassing on their property.

@LolaBug

Ava blinks in surprise when the door just slams shut. “That’s one way to solve the problem.” Sighing, she follows Cameron into the living room. “Is it petty of me to suggest that we turn the sprinklers on?”

Malcom, not deterred, starts to walk around the outside of the house, studying it.

Cameron grabbed the home phone after locking he back doors. “It sure is. I’m calling the police, too, so let’s hope they haul him off. Sprinklers will just make more mess if we try.” He sounded ominous as he dialed the police department, frowning heavily as he watched Malcom walk around.

@LolaBug

Ava sighs softly and trails after him, having a horrible feeling about this. Rather than saying anything, she heads upstairs and gets dressed. She’d rather not have to deal with the police while still in her pajamas.

Malcom pulls out his phone and calls a number, staring straight at Cameron through one of the windows.

Cameron glared at him and started talking into the phone, reporting a trespasser on his property. Unlike America, one can be fined or jailed for trespassing and Cameron was not about to hesitate. He set the phone down after being assured a fleet was on their way over, still glaring at Malcom. If he were the police again, he would’ve gunned down this idiot.

@LolaBug

Ava pops back into the living room a few minutes later. “This looks like a scene from a fucking horror movie.” Sighing, she rubs the back of her neck as she peers out of the window and studies her father. “Are the police on their way?” Hopefully the cops will arrive quickly so they can sort this whole mess out. Frowning, she glances down at her phone when it buzzes.

Malcom speaks to the person on the phone calmly for a minute or two before hanging up. His eye contact doesn’t break for a second.

“What was that?” He asked instead, ignoring her question. The police would be there soon enough, and he wasn’t taking his eyes off of Malcom. “If it’s something to do with this situation, don’t give into it. We can live our own damn life without him in it.” He stretched and slowly grabbed a knife, making sure the man could see it through the window as Cameron brandished it.

@LolaBug

“A text from the stalker.” She stares down at her phone, tense. “I know your secret.” That’s what the text reads. It’s creepy as hell. Unfortunately, she knows exactly what he’s talking about. “What are you doing with that knife.” The second she sees that knife, her head snaps up. Screw the text message, this is a more pressing matter.

Deleted user

“Great. I’m sure he knows a lot about what you do. He can’t do shit against you, be doesn’t have proof. I’m intimidating him and maybe threatening him. But that doesn’t matter right now.” He turned the knife over in his hands.

@LolaBug

“Yeah, he does kinda have proof of this.” She turns off her phone and sets it aside. “Sweetie, I don’t think that knife is intimidating him.” A quick look out the window tells her that her father is completely unfazed by the weapon.

Deleted user

“He does? How?” He set down the knife, grabbing her hand gently. “And why should we care? All our crimes were done in a completely different country. Not that we’re home free or anything… but…” He trailed off, not wanting to suggest what he was thinking.

@LolaBug

“He hires people to watch me and Chris. I’ve gotten pretty good at avoiding them but I slip up sometimes. It’s annoying but it happens.” She gives his hand a light squeeze. “But what?” Rather than talking about what it is she did she chooses to figure out what he’s thinking.

Deleted user

“Yuck. I can’t imagine that.” He shivered faintly and shook his head. “Don’t worry about it. You’d kill me if I told you.” He laughed softly, his eyes still boring into Malcom’s. It would make all of their problems go away, though. Just a swift kill and sweep away… tell the cops he ran off somewhere else and have him go ‘missing’.

@LolaBug

"Yeah, it's creepy." Nodding her head, she keeps her eyes on him, not looking at her father. Her eyebrows shoot up at the response to her question. "Cameron……..what are you thinking?" She has to admit that she's a little worried now. The way he's acting does have her concerned. She steals a quick glance out of the window, frowning when she sees that her father is no longer out there.

Cameron grabbed the knife and walked around the house to try to find him again. “I want to maybe kill him.” He went upstairs to see if he broke in somewhere, willing to kill that man if he even set paw near his own father. He checked all the rooms and kept the doors open but in a certain way (they were angled so that one had to open it more to get out).

@LolaBug

“Cameron, you can’t kill my father!” Ava yelping in surprise at his words. “I know he’s an asshole but he is still my father and you can’t just kill him.” To be honest, she’s thought about it before but she’d never actually go through with it. She’s not necessarily mad at the idea but she does want to make sure that he won’t actually kill him.

Malcom has made his way into the house and is currently moving around downstairs.
