Kreja scurries backwards once released. With a quiet huff of displeasure, he flops down on a pillow that had fallen off of the couch.
"He's going to be okay, right?" Ava asks quietly, her eyes glued to the dog. Taking him to the vet means that there's a possibility of the vet finding something wrong with him. It terrifies her.
Cameron rolled his eyes and moved towards the dog, picking him up and setting him down carefully on the couch itself.
“I’m sure he’ll get the help he needs,” He tried to console as he turned towards her to help her up off of the floor.
Kreja squirms in protest and smacks the man in the face with his front paw. Once on the couch, he curls up into a ball and sighs deeply.
Ava frowns at his response but accepts the help and stands. "It's not a very good day for our pups, is it?" Both Zore and Kreja are in pain and she hates it.
Cameron smiled and sighed. “Nope. But it’ll get better for them, right? Don’t give up. Come on, let’s go make breakfast.” He nudged her forward and led her into the kitchen, where his little pancakes were still cooking.
Ava sighs softly but allows herself to be herded into the kitchen. "It's too early in the day to have a drink, right?" She asks, only half joking. Today has been insane and it's not even nine in the morning yet. "I'll just have to settle for my coffee."
Cameron sort of gave her this look with his eyebrows slightly raised before continuing with the cooking.
“Coffee’s a good idea. Make some coffee. If I catch you putting vodka in it I’ll chuck it out the window.”
"You wouldn't dare." Ava huffs quietly before getting to work on making coffee. At least she's learned to use the coffee maker without breaking anything. She's still very proud of herself for that. Once the pot is done, she pours two generous cups.
Cameron watched her from the corner of his eye as he flipped the little doughy patties. It was sort of hard to do both, but he’d done the latter so much it was sort of hard to mess up. He wondered idly if both were going to be for her or one for each.
Ava dumps a bunch of sugar and creamer into hers before shuffling through the cabinets. A quick glance over her shoulder tells her that she's being watched. She had been kidding about the vodka but now she wants to do it just to mess with him. Grabbing the bottle from the cabinet, she sets it down on the counter.
As soon as she set down the heavy alcoholic drink, he reached over and grabbed it from her, grinning as if he just took it from a fussy toddler. His gaze flitted f on her, but he was still on alert for noises of another outside drink from the cabinet.
Sticking her tongue out at him, she snags another bottle from the cabinet. "Try not to burn the food," She teases as she carries both the bottle and her mug of coffee into the living room. Though tempted to drink some of the vodka, she knows that it's not a good idea.
Cameron sighed as he watched her, uncorking the vodka and drinking a mouthful before putting it back. The Russian water burned as he swallowed it, but in a good way. He smacked his lips gently and pawed at the breakfast, humming faintly as he flipped them over.
(After the vet or further?)
(Alright! Who should start?)
(Ugh ok. So what should we have them be doing afterwards, tho?)
(Thank you! Depends, do we want some drama?)
(hmmm what sort of drama would it be?)
(Probably something with the dogs? A bad injury on Zore’s part or cancer/something on Kreja’s part?)
(aw no that’s some sad shit woman. No cancer or sad doggy deaths)
