“If he’s in the house I’m killing him.” He heard something downstairs and loud yaps from Zore, quickly making his way downstairs but as quietly as possible. He didn’t silence Zore yet, wondering if he was near the puppy. And sincerely hoping he didn’t kick her or something.
She swears loudly a few times, fear bubbling up inside of her. “Murder isn’t going to solve all of our problems!” It’s painfully obvious that she’s being a hypocrite right now but it’s the only defense she can come up with. Her father may be old but he’s been trained to kill since the day he was born.
Malcom scoops up a heavy book and smashes it down on Zore’s back. “Nasty little creature.”
Zore yelped and Cameron jumped out to grip the man’s neck in his strong hand. Cameron was a bit stronger than the older guy when he was angry. He dragged him back and pushed him against the wall, positioning the knife to the back of his neck, ready to kill him like the hog he was.
Zore jumped down from the couch with a loud whimper, losing her balance a little and stumbling.
Malcom pulls a small knife out of his coat pocket, his long fingers wrapping around the handle. “Ne bi se usudio, glupi kopile,” He snarls, locking eyes with the other man. Not even for a single second does he believe that Cameron would actually kill him. Just to be certain, he slashes his knife at the man’s side.
Ava scrambles to get down the stairs. The second she sees Zore, she hurries over. “Oh, baby, are you okay?” Running her hands lightly over the dog’s body, she checks for injuries. She doesn’t even notice her husband and her father.
Cameron caught his wrist with his other hand, kneeling him hard and pinning him against the wall with his elbows, pressing in. The knife was still hard against his throat, as his hands made the other’s chin tilt up slowly, digging it in.
“Don’t doubt me.”
(Sorry I’ll add more later, I gotta go!)
Malcom gasps and kneels over, the hit knocking the wind out of him. “You don’t have the guts to kill me.” This he speaks in English, spitting the words out sharply. Even if he does die right here and now, he has plans in action that will ruin the lives of everyone who ever crossed him.
Ava’s head snaps up at the sound of the two talking. “Cameron, stop!”
(Okay!)
Cameron glanced back at her, his leg still pressed against him in an uncomfortable angle. “Why should I?” His eyes were bright with rage as he pressed. “How about you take his phone, then? We won’t kill him.” He gritted his teeth hard.
“Я бы предпочел, чтобы правительство избавилось от этого.”
Ava stands up and moves over to them, a deep frown on her face. Reaching into the pocket of her father’s jacket, she pulls out his phone. “He may be an asshole but he’s still my father. Killing him will only make our lives more difficult.” She shoves the phone into her own pocket.
Malcom spits in Cameron’s face, clearly not giving a single flying fuck about the situation that he’s in.
Cameron smashed his head against Malcom’s, leaving his own head aching, but he couldn’t imagine what it did to the older’s skull. It would knock maybe just a little bit of sense into him, right?
“Whatever. How can we deal with him, then? I don’t want him laying another finger on our family.”
Ava flinches at the sound of the two skulls knocking together. She lunges forward and grabs the other man before he hits the floor. “Let’s just put him on the plane and send him. I can file for him to have a travel ban on him due to medical reasons.” It’s not a full plan but it’s better than not having one at all. “Do you want me to get you some Advil or ice for your head?”
Cameron walked over to his pup after dropping the knife, both of them, and picked her whimpering self up.
“Aww… I know, he’s a mean man, I know. He hurt you.” He kissed her head and sat down on his couch.
“I’d rather something else done,” He responded in a serious tone. “He’ll find a way to get back here and I’m not putting my father in danger.”
Ava lays her father out on the floor with a sigh before standing up. "We should take Zore to the vet to make sure that she's okay." Seeing the pup being hurt makes her feel all the more guilty. "What do you want to do then? I'm not letting you kill him. That's completely off the table." She heads over and strokes Zore on her head. "And was that a yes or a no to the Advil?"
Cameron crossed one leg over the other. “I’m just saying I will end up killing him. He will come back. I don’t know how I will, but I haven’t forgotten methods on one-to-one killing, Ava,” He said threateningly, his head still tilted down. “I’m fine, I don’t need anything. I’ll take Zore to the vet after this, take my dad with me so you can figure out a way to get rid of your dad. Maybe put him in a retirement home, he’d hate it but he’d have to stay.”
"You are not killing him. I swear to god that if you say that you are one more time then I'm going to fucking slap you. I know you hate him but you can't just fucking kill him." Ava shoots him a sharp glare. The death threats are getting really old really fast. "Keep me updated on what happens at the vet." With a huff, she pulls out her phone and starts to figure out a way to deal with her father. There aren't a lot of options but she's sure that she can find something.
Cameron glared right back, his jowls quivering slightly. She didn’t seem to be taking her father breaking in and potentially killing someone as a problem. He wasn’t about to risk the safety of them in their own damn home. She needed to understand that. Maybe somehow she’d kill him and he’d be able to say ‘I told you so’. That was only if he targeted Cameron, and honestly the chances of that were pretty high. Hm….
“Alright. I’ll wait till my dad’s awake. I have some sleep meds you can give him upstairs in the cabinet.”
Ava just nods her head in response before heading upstairs. She slips into the bathroom and riffles through the cabinets until she finds the sleeping meds. This should be interesting. She takes out the bottle and briefly reads through the instructions. "Pick up some of that raspberry leaf tea I like if you get a chance!" She shouts down the stairs, figuring that he may as well pick some up for her while he's out. She needs some calming tea to drink while she researches solutions for her father.
Cameron stood up and walked outside to meet the police, reporting that the man had hit their puppy and went off somewhere, reporting he was from America and speaking English. They asked if he knew what he looked like or why he was on his property, and Cameron shook his head and giving a ‘hell do I know’ in Russian. They wished him a good day and a speedy recovery for the whimpering Zore before he shut the door.
Ava heads back downstairs with the pill bottle in her hand. She had made it just in time to see the cops leave. "They sure took their sweet time." Scoffing to herself, she shuffles through some drawers until she finds zip ties. Perfect. A few moments later, her dad is propped up against the wall with his hands zip tied behind him. She then goes right back on her phone for ideas.
“Sure they did,” Cameron responded idly as he watched her. “Make sure you give him a few on the feet, too. Maybe double them up to be safe, too.” He looked back down at Zore and pet along her soft self slowly, frowning as she whimpered more. He set her down slowly on the couch on her back, keeping her straight. She didn’t wriggle.
Ava nods and secures a few on his feet for well, doubling them all up as suggested. Glancing over to Zore, she frowns. "Poor little baby." She shoves her phone away and heads over to check on the dog. "What did he do to you, baby?" Bending down, she gently strokes her on the head. "When are you going to take her to the vet?" If this is something serious than it needs to be dealt with.
“When dad wakes up. He should be waking up soon, it’s almost six.” Cameron’s dad always woke up early to make them breakfast, since he and Ava woke up pretty early themselves. But now they had the upper hand. Cameron stood up again carefully, watching Zore.
“Make sure she doesn’t get up. If she does lay her onto her back again.”
Ava sits down on the couch next to Zore, gently petting her. "Do you think she's okay? She couldn't have broken anything, right?" It breaks her heart to see one of her babies in pain. "Zore, I am so sorry that that mean man hurt you." She carefully wraps her arms around the dog, kissing the top of her head. If the vet says that the dog got hurt in the slightest she'll have to spoil her rotten as an apology.
Cameron got started on some breakfast, cracking egg for a sunny-side up for his father, and making sweet pancake-like snacks for them. “I’m sure she’s okay. She can walk but she’s obviously in pain. She might be bruised and need painkillers or something.”
Ava looks over to him, not entirely convinced but she moves on. "I found a retirement home for my father. It's got pretty high security there so he wouldn't be able to escape. For an extra payment we could even have an aid stay with him at all times."
“Alright, let’s do that. We can pay it together so we can just get it out of our backs and minds. We have to make sure the aid is different every day so he doesn’t make any sort of plans.”
