Aurelie smiled at her. “You were right,” she responded. “She seems nice, though.”
Aurelie smiled at her. “You were right,” she responded. “She seems nice, though.”
Cat nodded. "Yeah Linns nice. I haven't talked to her in a while," Cat said relaxing in her chair.
Aurelie gazed dreamily out at the town. “Is this what you normally do? Just hang out here and eat sandwiches? Because that sounds amazing.”
“Nope sometimes I’m on other buildings or eating cake,” Cat joked smirking. She wished it was true. She would sneak away from her brother and his little gang to come up here sometimes but most of the time, especially during a festival like this, she was on the streets…pickpocketing.
Aurelie smiled back. “I wish we could do this every day,” she sighed wistfully, gazing out at all of the happy people.
Cat nodded taking a huge of her sandwich. ”I mean you can whenever you're free, ” she said after swallowing.
“I can be free whenever you want me to be free,” she teased, though she knew she actually had quite the busy schedule, especially with her birthday coming up so soon. She took another bite of her sandwich as well.
"You have classes like every day but humor me, princess If you had the free time what would you want to do in town?" she asked smiling softly. She moved her chair so it was right nxt to Aurelie's.
“Anything. Everything. I don’t know,” she replied. “Normal things. Like going shopping or going to friends’ houses or meeting new people. And obviously hang out with you more often.” She bumped her leg against Cat’s with a smile.
Cat smiled wrapping her angle around Aurelie's. "Hmm well we can do all of those now," she said pecking her on the cheek.
“Then let’s do that!” Aurelie exclaimed, bubbling with enthusiasm again.
"When we finish our sandwiches we can go to the market and shop. I think that checks at least 3 of the boxes," Cat said taking the last bite of her sandwich.
“Being here with you is all the checked off boxes I need,” she said earnestly before blushing. “That sounded cheesy, didn’t it?”
Cat laughed. "Yeah but also sweet," She said standing up. offering her hand to Aurelie.
She took it happily, hopping up from her chair, her sandwich now eaten. “I’m glad you think so.”
Cat gripped Aurelie's hand. "Let's go to the market. The stands sell really cool stuff during festivals," Cat said smile getting wider.
“Stars yes! I’ve always wanted to do that!” she exclaimed.
Cat leads Aurelie down the makeshift stairs. Stands where on either side of the street. Cat whent to the closest one. It was selling jewelry.
Aurelie looked at all of the jewelry being sold with awe. It wasn’t as fancy as what she wore in the castle, but it was beautiful and felt like it was made by someone who loved their craft. Her breath caught as she noticed a colorful beaded bracelet. “Wow, this is so cool,” she said to Cat, showing her.
Cat nodded smiling at Aurelie. "It looks beautiful," She said looking at the bracelet and all the other jewelry.
“This stuff is amazing,” she exclaimed. “I can tell that a lot of care was put into making these. Maybe I’m a bit overexcited, but they really are great pieces.”
Cat nodded again. "I never thought about it that way but I guess you're right. If you like these you'll love the next stand," She said pointing to a nick-nack stand next to them.
“Ooh! These are interesting!” she exclaimed, her attention focusing on the new stand. She looked at all of the different objects with curiosity.
Cat glanced at the Aurelie and then the vendor at the jewelry stand. When both of them weren't looking she slipped the bracelet in her pocket. Once done she joined Aurelie. She'll give her the bracelet later on.
“Look at this,” Aurelie giggled, holding up a little doll next to her face. “Doesn’t she look just like me?” The doll had strawberry blonde hair and hazel eyes, similar to Aurelie’s own as she beamed.
