Ashley rolled her eyes and chuckled softly. She pressed a soft kiss to his lips before burying her face in his neck. "It's morning, but good night, anyway, love."
Ashley rolled her eyes and chuckled softly. She pressed a soft kiss to his lips before burying her face in his neck. "It's morning, but good night, anyway, love."
Lucas shifted a little before peeking an eye open.
“Or what if we lay in bed and binge watch something?” He suggested. “Let’s watch Marvel movies from very beginning.”
Ashley grinned and pulled away to look at him, her eyes dancing excitedly. "Can we watch the shows, too? In chronological order?"
Lucas nodded just as excitedly.
“You know I’m going to say yes to that!”
"Awesome! Lemme go make us a giant pile of pancakes, quick. We can eat them while we watch," Ashley declared as she jumped out of bed. She made it halfway to the door before she stopped and turned around, walking over to the dresser. She pulled some clothes out and slipped them on, ignoring the heat on her cheeks, before she walked out to the kitchen.
Lucas laughed, slapping the bed before wiping his eyes.
“Thanks for the view, love!” He called after her, still laughing. After he finished, he pulled himself off of the bed and grabbed his clothes, pulling them on before following Ashley outside.
“Oh, shuddup,” Ashley muttered as Lucas came out of the bedroom. Her cheeks were blazing by now, and she was facing away from him so that he couldn’t see. “Do we just want normal pancakes? Or chocolate chips, strawberries, blueberries, or something else?”
Lucas frowned thoughtfully.
“Chocolate chip,” he answered after a while with a lopsided grin. “Those are the best.”
Ashley chuckled softly and began pulling things out of the cupboards. “What if I make a bunch of different kinds? And then we can have a bunch of different toppings to put on them. It’ll be like an ice cream bar but with pancakes.”
"Honestly, you do whatever," Lucas shrugged. "Do not trust me to make kitchen decisions."
“Well, then, I am going to make a bunch of different kinds of pancakes, and we’ll have a pancake party,” Ashley decided with a wide grin.
(Wanna skip to when they’re all snuggled up in bed?)
(Yup!)
"I absolutely adore skinny Steve," I commented as I pulled Ashley closer to me.
“He’s so tiny. I can’t believe they managed to make him look like that,” Ashley giggled softly as she popped a piece of birthday cake pancake into her mouth. She had really gone all out with her whole pancake idea. There were so many different kinds that she had only made two of each.
Lucas laughed in agreement.
“Man, you’re the best, Ash. This tastes amazing!” Lucas took a bite, sighing happily. “I’m blessed to have you as my girlfriend. Where would I be without your food?”
"Thank your mom, babe. She's the one who taught me how to make pancakes. I just… improvised and added things," Ashley reminded him with a shrug, reaching over to kiss his cheek.
“Bless my wonderful mother,” Lucas said dramatically. “The next time I talk to her, I’m going to tell her I love her.”
Ashley laughed lightly and reached over to flick his nose. "You should do that, anyway, babe. Not just because you love her pancakes."
Lucas nodded.
“Of course,” he said. “Ah, mothers are amazing.”
"Mmhm. They are. And so are boyfriends," Ashley declared, nudging him playfully.
Lucas cleared his throat, and kissed her on the forehead.
“You really know how to work your words, don’t you?”
Ashley grinned at him and kissed his cheek. "When I want to, yes… Which reminds me, I had something I wanted to ask you about…"
Lucas furrowed his eyebrows.
“Yeah?”
"What do you think about… well, about having kids," Ashley asked tentatively. "Not right now, obviously! But, ya know, later… Maybe… when we're married?"
Lucas fell silent for a while before shrugging.
“One day, I would want to,” he said after a while. “But not at this age, not until I’m well off.”
Ashley nodded slowly and kissed his cheek. "Well, good. Same with me."
