Sorrel basically rushed himself out of his chair, and carefully grabbed Cas's hands. He pulled him up, and mind you, close. "Okay, this might be a little awkward, but I think I know how its supposed to work." He said, laughing his own awkwardness off.
Cas blushed again, looking up at Sorrel nervously. "Er… alright. I'll let you lead then, I guess." He had no clue what he was doing, and being this close to Sorrel wasn't helping to clear his mind.
Sorrel lowkey began to spin the two around, as he tried not to step on Cas's foot. He hummed a soft tune, and began to fall more in step with the music he had in mind. He kept glancing at Cas's cheeks. Cas's blushing was distracting, and he loved it a lot.
Nix and the kittens watched the two of them curiously, rather confused as to what was going on. Cas was struggling to maintain eye contact with Sorrel and kept glancing around awkwardly.
Sorrel kind of laughed. "This doesn't work for us either." He muttered. His mind was so blank, what in the world would bring the two closer? What did Cas really enjoy? He let go, and rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm awful at this," He whispered.
"It's not your fault…" Cas said quietly. "I just… don't really know how to do much of anything." He sighed, resting his forehead against Sorrel's chest. "I'm really not smart, or strong, or fast, or graceful, or… or really anything special at all."
"I could say the same about myself." Sorrel replied. "I'm freakishly tall, boring, and lonely all the time. I don't know what to do when people are over, ever, but I know I can try." He said, with a little confidence. "You're super special though. You have that wrong." He admitted.
"I think you're pretty special." Cas said softly, moving a little closer to Sorrel. "I don't know what you think makes me interesting, though."
'Cas… moved closer to me. Is he more comfortable around me?' Sorrel thought, in his head. "You have such a mysterious aura. You're so fun to be around, and you're like, adorable." He said. He kind of whispered the last part. He hugged Cas, just a little bit.
"But I can't do anything." Cas replied, sighing softly. "You… you welcomed someone like me into your house without even knowing me."
"Which could have been dangerous. What's a little risk, right?" He asked the guy. Honestly, he wasn't thinking at all. "I just go with whatever I feel like." He decided, aloud. "And right now, you seemed to be my top priority."
"Yeah, um… I would've been afraid to do it myself, to be honest." Cas closed his eyes. "Why am I your top priority?"
"You're my top priority because whenever I look at you, I see someone who's been deprived of something." Sorrel stated. "I'm not sure what you've missed, but its my goal to get it for you."
Cas blushed again, looking up at Sorrel. I don't think you know just how much I've been deprived of… He drew in a shaky breath and hugged Sorrel tightly.
Sorrel laid his head ontop of Cas's, and closed his eyes. "Soft, precious thing, you deserve the world, and I'll fetch it for you.."
He blushed harder, clinging even tighter to Sorrel. He didn't want to let him go. "I-I really… I… I don't…" He stammered quietly.
Sorrel's urge happened, then. He didn't know how Cas would feel about it, but he wanted to do it for himself. He kissed the top of Cas's head, super gently, open already to being pushed away. He only knew Cas for an afternoon, so he knew it might be a lot of a bit extra.
Cas looked up at Sorrel, his face now completely red. His heart was racing and he wasn't sure what to do. I shouldn't let myself fall in love again… I'll get hurt, just like every other time. But… he seems different, right…?
Sorrel brought his face a little further than it was before away from Cas. Had he stepped over one of the dude's boundaries? He didn't know, like hell he ever would. "I-I'm sorry." He mumbled. "Was that too much?"
"N-No, it's okay, I just… you surprised me a bit…" He replied quietly, looking away. He made no attempt to move away from Sorrel, though, so he didn't seem to be traumatized or anything.
"I-I'm sure I did, honestly, I'm a mess sometimes." Sorrel whined, with an awkward laugh. "I mean, literally, if someone kissed me I'd probably panic, big time." He said, in truth. "I get it if you think I'm insane…" He muttered.
"No, I don't think you're insane… maybe a little impulsive, a little scattered, but not insane." He lay his head on Sorrel's chest.
Sorrel noticed the selectiveness of Cas's words, and at least he knew he deserved them. "Thanks, I guess." He replied. Cas's head, resting on his chest, at least reassured him that Cas liked one part of him. He messed with a small strand of his hair. "I'll try and control myself better." He promised.
"No, it's fine… I.. uh… I kinda like it." Cas said softly, closing his eyes and relaxing when Sorrel started petting him. "Keeps things interesting."
"Oh?" Sorrel appeared surprised. "Well then, I hope to interest you, and at least control myself a little better." He adjusted his promise. He loved how open Cas was, he didn't hold back anything, or at least that's what he knew. He purred, softly, as he played with a little more of Cas's hair.
